Novels "Song of Youth", "Wildfire Spring Wind Fighting Ancient City", "Little Hero Rain Coming", movie "Shangganling", poetry "Yumen Poetry Copy", song "My Motherland and Me", "I Offer Oil for the Motherland"... Manuscripts of 21 literary and artistic classics were unveiled at the Museum of Modern Chinese Literature on the 16th, "Initial Heart and Handwriting: Red Classic Recitation of Contemporary Chinese Literature". The descendants of these works also gathered to recall the classic behind-the-scenes stories they knew.

In his later years, Mr. Yang Mo donated it to the Museum of Modern Literature together with the manuscript and copyright of the Song of Youth. Yang Mo's son Ma Qingke revealed that her mother participated in the War of Resistance And the War of Liberation, and witnessed many martyrs heroically sacrificing in the war, she missed these comrades-in-arms and wanted to write them out during the war years, but the environment at that time did not allow it. After liberation, she used her recuperation time to write out these martyrs in her heart, and she first wrote 350,000 words, which took more than three years. The novel has been published in more than five million copies so far.
Li Mei: In order to shoot "Shangganling", my father entered the DPRK as a volunteer soldier
At the recitation meeting on the same day, Li Mei, the daughter of Lin Shan, one of the writers and directors of the movie "Shangganling", told the story of her father's mental journey of directing the filming of "Shangganling".
"My father's idea for "Shangganling" stemmed from his 1953 visit to Korea with the Central Condolence Mission to comfort volunteer soldiers. He went as a filmmaker at the time, and his days and nights in North Korea sparked a strong desire to create. Li Mei revealed that his father wrote in his diary, "One day, I heard a soldier tell from personal experience how volunteer soldiers survived more than 20 days and nights in the tunnels, how to fight the enemy overhead, how to overcome the threat of thirst and hunger, and how to survive under the enemy's explosive packs, flamethrowers, and poison gas bombs." The deeds of the heroes touched me deeply and made me have a strong desire and impulse to represent these heroes on the screen."

After returning to China, Lin Bin talked about the creative idea with the director Shamen, and the two people hit it off. So the next year they went to North Korea again to experience life — this time as volunteer soldiers. Regarding his experience in Korea, Lin Bin wrote: "On the shangganling mountain front, grabbing a handful of soil, you can see the bones of the human body mixed in, and you can really feel the cruelty and fierceness of the war; standing silently for a long time in the place where Huang Jiguang martyr died, thinking about how the young hero advanced step by step after being seriously injured several times, and finally how to block the fire point of his young chest, tears blurred his eyes."
In this way, in their six months in Korea, they read almost a million words of all the archival materials about the Battle of Shangganling, interviewed 57 soldiers who personally participated in the Battle of Shangganling and were still in the original unit, and wrote down 250,000 words of interview notes.

Li Yingru later received a new task from the Jidong Military Region: to enter Baoding City to do intelligence work. "There were a lot of casualties at the intelligence station, so when my dad picked up the pen and prepared to finish this novel. What I remember most clearly is what he told me, to be worthy of my dead comrades-in-arms, to be worthy of the dedication and sacrifice of sending information at the expense of my own life. Yao Xueyan's Li Zicheng is China's first full-length historical novel since May Fourth. His son Yao Haitian revealed that since the 1950s, his father has studied hundreds of Li Zicheng documents for "Li Zicheng", selected important historical materials from them, copied them in small letters, and included a large number of eyebrow criticisms. According to statistics, there are as many as tens of thousands of these cards.
Yao Xueyan once said a famous saying, "Marathon before death, marathon after death". In this regard, Yao Haitian explained that the meaning of his father's words is simply: all writers before they died were racing on a starting line to see who could persist until the end, to see who could come up with good works, this was a marathon before death; after people died, to see whose works could continue to be passed on to future generations and have an impact on the majority of readers, this is a marathon after death.
Yao Xueyan had a wish before his death, that is, he always wanted to donate a sum of money to the state to set up a long historical novel award to promote the development of long historical novels. However, due to the low cost of the manuscript at that time, I could not realize my wish. After Yao Xueyan's death, the fourth and fifth volumes of Li Zicheng were published, and the manuscript fee was 500,000 yuan. Yao Haitian donated the 500,000 yuan in 1999 and, with the support of the China Writers Association, set up the Yao Xueyu Long Historical Novel Award.
