Ningwu Malun Grassland is located in Ningwu County, Shanxi Province, a vast alpine meadow on the top of Guanzhuo Mountain, with an altitude of 2712 meters, a broad and flat top, a subalpine meadow, an area of nearly 10,000 mu, formed in the Quaternary glacial period of the Cenozoic Era 750,000 years ago, facing the north and south of Luya Mountain, and is one of the largest subalpine meadows in North China. The pasture here is fertile and has been the base for successive emperors to shepherd war horses. The Marlen Grassland integrates meadows, forests, mountains, canyons, strange pines, strange rocks, the Great Wall, The Platform, and The Base Tower. There is a strange pine garden in the southeast corner, a strange stone slope in the south, a group of collapsed stupas in the southwest corner, half hidden in the grass, and the Great Wall of Northern Qi runs through the grassland. The Marlen Steppe in July and August is cool and scenic, making it a top destination for summer escape.
