As early as around 2000 BC, a dynasty appeared in China. This dynasty is the Xia Dynasty. However, the emperors of the Xia Dynasty were not called emperors, they were called kings, and these kings called themselves "Hou", such as Houyi and Houqi. The word "emperor" did not appear until the Shang Dynasty, because the emperor represented the gods such as the imperial heart and the emperor. During the Western Zhou Dynasty, in order not to offend the gods, it was changed to "king", such as King Wu of Zhou, King Wen of Zhou, and so on.
In fact, in ancient times, they were the true, the king, the empress, and the emperor. There are many names like Widow, Lonely, Chongren, and Wushu. There is a sentence in the Book of Poetry that reads, "Min Yu is a boy who was not created by his family, and rejoices and is guilty." As early as the pre-Qin period, whether it was a king, a prince or a commoner, he would call himself "Yu Tong" and "give people". "It means more than ten thousand, one below, one heaven."
We all know that in ancient times, the monarchy was given by God, so many emperors would add a myth to themselves, such as Liu Bang killing snakes, Xiang Yu and so on. In ancient times, emperors would say they were widows. This widow was born from a "villain", and the princes also called themselves widows, such as Liu Bang, Han Xin, The Sui Emperor, and the Jin Dynasty. In addition to widows, loneliness, and other self-proclaimed kings, there is also a kind called "truth." This has appeared the most often in history and is also the most familiar name.
The word "I" first appeared on the oracle bone, which is a product of the Shang Dynasty. By the time of Qin Shi Huang's Qin Dynasty, the emperor was called emperor because of the "Three Emperors and Five Emperors", which was created by Qin Shi Huang. After that, Qin Shi Huang called himself "True". The "Chronicle of History" records: "Ministers and other ignorant deaths were banned, the king was 'Emperor Tai', the order was 'system', the order was 'Chao', and the emperor called himself 'true'", that is, the measure of "honoring the emperor".
Why use "true"? In the ancient text, I dismantled it into "boats" and "灷", that is, boats and fires. In the "Xunzi Royal System", it is said that "the king is the boat, the commoner is the water", and the "true" boat fire can keep the world at peace. This is also the reason why later emperors called themselves "true".
