Laos Travels (I) Time Labang
Luang Prabang is a colorful ancient city with white palace walls, golden temples, red roofs, green doors and windows, and people dressed in flowers and colors. Of course, there are flowers that are blooming in spring, frangipani of white-petaled astragalus, freshwater red, and amethyst triangular plum. The color of Laban is not that bright color, but after more than 600 years of polishing, it still retains the nobility and richness of the former capital of the Lancang Kingdom. In Labon, whether you walk into Wat Shang Thong Temple, the Forbidden Palace, the Brabang Temple, or the French-style hotels, restaurants, cafes, and small bars on the street, all of them show such colors. The red here is the red of the palace walls, the green is the sapphire green, the white is ivory white, and the gold is the gold of the sunset, and people enjoy the happy time of Laban in the atmosphere created by this color.
In March, Laban is just the right spring, with willows and red flowers. Early in the morning, the Cisawan Von Street in front of the Royal Palace is lively, and the small bars, cafes and early shops on both sides of the street are full of tourists, mainly French from Europe. Foreigners dressed casually, with wide pants and slippers, drank coffee and ate breakfast under the diagonal triangular plum. Some are reading a book in their hands. Some sit and look at the road with dull eyes, seemingly not thinking about anything, or in the eyes of these French-style buildings opposite, reminiscing about the footprints left by their ancestors here, and the glory of the former French Empire in this land called Indochina.
Foreigners found the right place and the right time, and lived here for ten and a half days, spending a good time. Time is used to spend and waste, and there is nothing uncomfortable. Life is meaningless, we will eventually disappear, what we can really grasp is the time in front of us, and spending this time and feeling it with our hearts is the real journey. "Virtuality" gives us access to endless space and time. "Void" makes our souls safe.
To leave this foreigner street called Sisa Wangfeng, we also have to rush to several attractions below. The moment I climbed into the car, I felt that I was not a traveler, but just a passing guest.
It is said that Luang Prabang is to spend a slow time, in fact, Laban's time is not slow, the slowness depends entirely on your state of mind. What is called the mind is calm, the heart is quiet, everything can be calm. As the saying goes: all worries are restless, and there is no alarm.
