The first international freight train of the China-Laos Railway of the Beijing-Yunnan·-Lancang-Mekong Line arrived in Beijing, and 390 tons of Laotian bananas were freshly marketed

On October 20, the first international freight train of the Beijing-Yunnan·-Lancang-Mekong Line arrived at the Jingping Integrated Logistics Hub in Pinggu District, Beijing, along with 390 tons of fresh bananas from Laos. This is the first time that Beijing has imported fruits from Southeast Asia through the China-Laos Railway, and in the future, more "ASEAN tastes" will be directly delivered to the tables of citizens in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region by "fast through trains". It is expected that the train will be operated on a regular basis in early December.

At 9:38 a.m., with the sound of the whistle, Beijing's first "Beijing-Yunnan·-Lancang-Mekong Line" China-Laos Railway international freight train slowly drove into Mafang Station, and the 15 white containers pulled behind could not be seen at a glance, and the cars were full of high-quality bananas from Laos. On October 12, the international cold chain banana special train departed from Vientiane South Railway Station in Laos, entered the country through Mohan Port, and arrived in Beijing this morning after passing the whole cold chain transportation.

The idea of Laos bananas "taking" a special train into Beijing only took a short period of 10 days from the birth to the smooth entry of the first batch of bananas into Beijing. On October 10 this year, Beijing Pinggu District and the Lao Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a tall Shang Pinggu promotion meeting in Vientiane, Laos, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Laos Daheng Trade and Agricultural Comprehensive Co., Ltd. and Xuanye (Laos) Company to comprehensively strengthen pragmatic cooperation in the fields of international supply chain and cross-border trade, and successively visited Vientiane Huawei, Jinglong, Yaozheng, Xinxiangwang and other banana planting bases, and completed the collection in only 3 days, ensuring the basic supply requirements of the train.

"We use the whole cold chain transportation, each container is hung on the outside of the 'refrigerated bag', and the temperature and humidity inside the container can be remotely controlled and adjusted 24 hours a day to ensure that the temperature and humidity in the container are kept at the most suitable level for banana transportation." Yi Qiang, director of the cold chain logistics department of China Railway Special Cargo Logistics Co., Ltd., introduced.

At the scene of the pick-up ceremony, Beijing Yongxin Hengchang Fruit Co., Ltd., Beijing Runfang International Trade Co., Ltd. and other banana dealers signed sales and supply contracts, and 15 cabinets of bananas were sold out and will be sent to various wholesale centers in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. According to Zhang Zhongyi, general manager of Beijing Yongxin Hengchang Fruit Co., Ltd., bananas will be sent to Xinfadi first, after screening, decomposition, ripening, and then sent to supermarkets throughout the city. It is reported that Laotian bananas have been recognized by the Beijing market in recent years because of their good taste and affordable price, and the current market share in Beijing is about 30%.

It is expected that in early December this year, the international freight train of the "Beijing-Yunnan·-Lancang-Mekong Line" China-Laos Railway will be normalized. At the pick-up ceremony, Pinggu District signed strategic cooperation agreements with Beijing CBD International Group and Huimao Tianxia (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. Zhao Liang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Jingping Logistics Hub Industry Development Co., Ltd., introduced that in the future, Pinggu will continue to promote the high-quality products of ASEAN countries to "come in", and attract dealers from all over the country to gather and expand the domestic market through the preparation of the ASEAN (Laos) import and export fruit trading center. At the same time, it will promote the import and export of goods and distribution of advantageous industries such as fresh and hot fruits, light industry FMCG, machinery and electronics, and modern agriculture in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region through this train, and go to Laos, Thailand, Singapore and other countries and regions.

As a strategic hinterland connecting domestic and international logistics channels, Beijing is actively applying for a dry port-type national logistics hub city. On the basis of unblocking international channels and enhancing foreign trade, Beijing will focus on the implementation of the Beijing Pinggu local railway reconstruction project, accelerate the construction of the Beijing-Pinggu comprehensive logistics hub "H" railway transportation network, and promote the integration of the Beijing Pinggu local railway and the national trunk railway network.
