1 Late autumn in Shanghai fell, with a layer of autumn rain and a layer of coolness. Before the big cooling down, let me share a painting about autumn. From the hand of Chinese painter Wang Mingming, "Drunken Autumn" at first I thought it was a red hawthorn, and then I suddenly realized that it was persimmons when I saw the title, as the saying goes: July peach, August pear, September persimmon chaotic market. There is a poem: in September, the countryside is red with persimmons, and lanterns are hung all over the mountains. Lady Miaoliang climbed the branches and picked them up in the basket. In the painting, the painter did not paint a lady and let a yellow oriole take her place, "the yellow oriole color has been cute, and the tongue is dumb like a baby" (Ouyang Xiu's "Crying Bird"), as if to give this static picture a dynamic sound. This yellow oriole is also a place that makes me feel like a stroke of God, because the yellow warbler bird is a summer migratory bird, migrating with the change of seasons throughout the year, generally speaking, persimmons grow hardy in northern China, migratory birds should migrate in September, and it lingers on the persimmon branches that are cold and red in the treetops, quietly dotting the drunken autumn. Of course, this is my wishful thinking and not the real meaning of the painter, because the painter is too famous to communicate with me. He is a former deputy director painter of the Counsellor's Office of the State Council of China, born in Beijing in 1952, from Penglai County, Shandong Province. Just last year, he ranked 21st in the 2020 Hurun Chinese Art List with a total turnover of 30.61 million yuan in the 2019 public auction market.
