The Bund source staged fashion shows, and their creations took their work from university campuses to the world fashion stage

On March 28, the Donghua University Emerging Designer Exhibition was jointly released for the first time with the Shanghai Fashion Week LABELHOOD Avant-garde Fashion Art Festival in the century-old building of Rock Bund.

Ten emerging designers from Donghua University walked on the stage of Shanghai Fashion Week for the first time, each of them carrying 6 sets of their own original design works, from the university campus to the center of the world fashion stage.

Tao Xiaoting, a Chinese-Japanese cooperative fashion design major from Donghua University, used her work "Second Life" to tell the audience the fairy tale of a mermaid. The clothing especially uses degradable and environmentally friendly hollow yarn materials, and uses knitted materials with glass yarn tufts, crochet needles and other techniques to create different texture changes, so as to express the thinking of "sustainable fashion".

The design elements of each work on the show start from the heart of young designers, not limited to reinforced concrete city life, and project the attitude of loving nature and yearning for freedom from the inside out into the design and production. Many works show the independent attitude of the young generation with self-aesthetic and fashion taste towards free living and fashion trends, and have thoughts on the reality of life and digital life in the post-epidemic era, and perfectly present them on the catwalk.
