Funny is a language art, the north is called crosstalk, the south is called singing funny. The cross-talk art of Hou Baolin and Guo Qiru is pure fire, and the one-man show art of the two brothers of Shanghai Yao Mu Shuang Zhou Baichun is also very popular. It's just a pity that fewer and fewer people now know about "Yao Zhou", and fans are almost extinct. Take the mobile phone Sogou input method, "Hou Baolin", "Guo Quanbao", "Guo Degang" can still be simplified spelling, while "Yao Mushuang" and "Zhou Baichun" have been blinded by "dogs".

I remember going to the Youth Palace Theater to enjoy the large-scale burlesque play "Baby Under the Street Lamp" led by Yao Zhou, which included a scene in which Zhou Baichun was angry and crying by his disobedient son. After the son was touched several times to persuade Abba not to cry, Zhou Baichun suddenly put a gimmick (throwing a burden): What is the body to cry? Let me cry again... (Wipe your tears), Jiaoyu Tatsumi wept, and thought about it (why don't you cry?). Let me cry a little longer, I haven't cried in a long time. A few ordinary lines caused the audience to laugh, and I still remember it vividly.

The salaries of Mr. Yao Mushuang and Zhou Baichun are very high. It is said that Yao Zhou's monthly salary in the 1950s was 1800 yuan each, and at that time, the house price in the downtown area of Shanghai was about 600 yuan, and he could sing three houses a month. Now even if you sing vomiting blood, you can't sing it. Mr. Yao Mushuang once took a thick twenty-four yuan (at that time, the largest denomination of the renminbi was shiyuan) to the clock counter of the City Baiyi Store, and first bought a Rolex and then a Xima watch. The watch shop clerk was stunned in an instant, and he must have encountered a great thief from Jiangyang! So he tracked Down Yao Mushuang and sent him to the police station. The police took a look, isn't this Yao Mu ShuangYao teacher? You really don't know Tarzan, misunderstood, misunderstood.

Mr. Yao Mushuang is generous, but he treats people very seriously. Masters of singing comical cross-talk will not be the same as on stage in daily life, with slippery tongues and chaotic eyebrows. Friends and apprentices go to Mr. Yao Mushuang's house to go to BaiXiang or ask for advice, and Teacher Yao always has to give a pack of peony cigarettes, leave a meal, and bring Wu Yuan to the car before leaving.

Mr. Zhou Baichun is a representative of the southern cold noodles, and the audience laughed and sighed that his face was still cold as frost. Zhou Libo was originally recruited by Mr. Zhou Baichun to the academy (there is also a saying that Mr. Yan Shunkai, who played "Ah Q", was recruited, and the same batch of recruits were "little funny" Qian Cheng and others). Zhou Libo acted in burlesque in the early days, and the path he took was also cold-faced funny, and it was also quite popular. Later, Zhou Libo returned to Shanghai from Japan to talk about Haipai Qingkou (the more famous ones are "garlic coffee saying", "shark fin rice saying", etc.), which was all the rage. Carefully pondering the number of ways zhou Libo performed, there is a shadow of Mr. Zhou Baichun's cold face and funny face.

From 1943 until the liberation of Shanghai, Mr. Yao zhouliang broadcast a live comic rap program every night from 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock on the private minsheng radio station, which attracted 90% of the audience on the beach. In 1984, Yao Zhou performed in Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong, and many of the audience members were the audience of the two of them decades ago.

Since 1966, Mr. Yao Zhouliang's life has been overcast. At the criticism meeting against Mr. Zhou Baichun, his student Wang Huiquan viciously slapped his teacher twice (it seems that there are also apprentices in the cross-talk circle who slap the master). At the same time, Wang Huiquan was also one of the four famous thugs in the troupe, the "Four Great Kongs", and fought all over the group. After 1978, the other three "King Kongs" were sentenced, but Mr. Zhou Baichun saved Wang Huiquan, and only he was not sentenced. The reason is that Wang Huiquan can be a combination of choreographers, directors and actors (the Shanghainese sitcom that swept the beach, the "Old Lady Uncle" starring Li Jiusong and Nen Niang was written and directed by him), and Mr. Zhou Baichun loved and cherished talents.

Born in Shanghai in 1943, Wang Huiquan was adopted as an apprentice by Zhou Baichun at the age of 18 and died in 2002 at the age of 59. Wang Huiquan became famous in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, not in Shanghai. Although he was not sentenced, the administrative punishment for Wang was "to stay in the regiment for probation and not to be reused at any time and on any occasion", and he certainly did not mix well in Shanghai. Through his own efforts, Wang Huiquan slowly became famous in the comical circles of Shanghai and Zhejiang, and he actually took the road of "rural encirclement of the city" - first becoming famous in small city theater troupes around Shanghai, and then establishing a business in Shanghai.

Compared with the cross-talk in the north, Shanghai's one-man show burlesque has been very sluggish. Those burlesque actors don't know what they're eating on? Now, Wang Rugang only goes abroad once a week to talk about old Shanghai in the TV newsroom, and other actors, regardless of age, age, fame and fame, have basically "not done their jobs".

Before the new crown, Mao Mengda and Shen Ronghai, the old duo, performed a one-man show in the Chinese Grand Theater - "The Laughter of Shikumen" was hard to find, and it was more or less saving face for practitioners in this profession.

The older brother is Mr. Yao Mushuang (1918-2004), the younger brother is Mr. Zhou Baichun (1922-2008), the older brother is four years early, and the younger brother is four years late. The brothers have been out of this world for more than ten years, and the world has gradually forgotten them.
