It is understood that last year, the base's red heart kiwi fruit production reached tens of thousands of kilograms, and this year's red heart kiwi fruit ushered in a full fruit period, and the output is expected to reach 40,000 kilograms. "This year, the price of our red heart kiwi fruit is about 50 yuan per kilogram, and the estimated income can be more than 1 million yuan." Xu Weiping, head of the base, told reporters.

The kiwifruit industry at the base not only brings solid economic benefits to the operators, but also brings employment opportunities to nearby villagers, solving the employment problem of local surplus labor. According to reports, the base employs more than 20 villagers every year, and the monthly income reaches three or four thousand yuan. "The elderly and children in the family need to be taken care of, there is no way to take care of them when they go out to work, the base is close to home, and I can take care of the family and make money by working here, killing two birds with one stone." Weng Huaxing, a villager in Tiandengyuan Village, said.

In order to ensure the yield and quality of the kiwifruit planting base, Pingtian Township actively contacted the district agricultural department to strive for policy support and corresponding subsidies. "We are working with the department to implement conjoined greenhouse planting, as well as measures such as field operation channels, pouring ditches, and organic fertilizer irrigation to ensure that kiwifruit grow well and thus increase the income of growers."
