At that time, the novel "Song of Youth" had already had a wide impact on society. The heroine of the book, Lin Daojing, is a role model for many young people to learn. At that time, Xie Fang was an opera singer who played the B role of Xiao Qin in "Little Erhei Marriage". Acting is not particularly prominent, but she has an innate bookish atmosphere, and this is exactly where Lin Daojing can most impress people.
So he specially arranged for Xie Fang to be taken from Wuhan to Beijing, and participated in the audition with Di Xin and Qin Wen.
And when Xie Fangxing appeared in front of everyone, everyone was a little disappointed. Because this little girl from Wuhan is not particularly beautiful, her appearance is not amazing, her teeth are not good, not neat. This made the crew's heart half cold. Some people even say that if you choose "Lin Daojing" according to this standard, then on the street, how much, how much.
And even Nie Jing, the cinematographer of the movie "Song of Youth", was also embarrassed and asked Cui Wei, why did you shoot it? Especially that tooth, I can't avoid it. And the corners of the mouth, also a little crooked.
But Cui Wei had great confidence in Xie Fang. He told Nie Jing that no actor's face was perfect, cut Xie Fang's hair short, put her in a blue cheongsam, I think she is Lin Daojing.
Why did Cui Wei believe Xie Fang so much? It wasn't until much later that the real reason was revealed—because Xie Fang had a "kai myra" (that is, a sense of lens) face.
