In "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", Cao Cao is depicted as a treacherous male in troubled times, holding the Son of Heaven to make the treacherous image of the princes, and the word "traitor" is deeply engraved into people's hearts. However, after learning some of Cao Cao's stories, the editor wondered, what would it be like if he worked for Cao Cao?

Will Cao Cao be a good boss now?

Cao Cao is a person who knows and loves talents, and can use talents in an eclectic manner

In the spring of the fourth year of Jian'an, the strategist Xun Liu Yu took a young man in his early 20s to see Cao Cao. He introduced to Cao Cao: "This person is Guo Jia, very talented, and he came to vote for Cao Gong today, hoping to accept people." ”

Who is Guo Jia?

Guo Jia (郭嘉), courtesy name Fengxiao, was a native of Yangzhai, Yingchuan (present-day Yu County, Henan). He originally defected to Yuan Shao, but he observed for a while and thought that although Yuan Shao was good at planning, he was not good at making decisions, it was difficult to achieve great things, and he could not use his own strength, so he defected to Cao Cao under the persuasion and recommendation of Xun Liuyu.

Cao Cao was more cautious in using people, and in order to avoid misuse, he made a temptation: "I heard that Yuan Shao has many talented people, why did you leave him?" ”

Guo Jia replied: "Yuan Shao employs people, talks about relatives and distances, looks at the door, and discusses qualifications. A man like me, who comes from a humble background, doesn't look at it at all. ”

Cao Cao asked him again what he thought of the unification of the north, and Guo Jia replied like a stream, and Cao Cao knew that this person was a rare talent, and he was appointed as the commander of the air force.

Military Master Jiu was a civilian post established by Cao Cao in the third year of Jian'an (198), and Guo Jia was the first to hold this position. This official position can also be understood as the division of the Grand Army, now the chief of the General Staff.

But just when Cao Cao made his appointment, there was a lot of opposition. Everyone thinks that a young man who has been appointed to such a large official position just because of his strong mouth is too unconvincing. Some people even went to Cao Cao to spread rumors and slander Guo Jia.

At that time, a man named Chen Qun spoke to Cao Cao on the spot, saying that Guo Jia's quality was very bad, he was very young, he was from a poor background, he was neither a talent nor a filial piety, and he should not be used in any case. Hearing Chen Qun's words, Cao Cao angrily rebuked at that time: "Needless to say, go back and tell those who have the same heart disease as you, just say that I just want meritocracy, not doors." I use Guo Jia, I use it. ”

Later, Cao Cao also asked Guo Jia for his opinion on the matter. Guo Jia did not answer positively, but replied sideways: "I heard that there is such a folk song circulating in my hometown, saying: 'Raise talent, do not know books, raise filial piety, father does not live, cold is as innocent as mud, and Gaudiliang will be as timid as a chicken.'" I wonder how Cao Gong felt when he heard this rumor? Cao Cao laughed and said, "Good scolding, good scolding!" Those who claim to be 'show talents' do not understand poetry; those who flaunt 'filial piety' drive their biological parents out of their homes; those who claim to be 'innocent' are actually as filthy as mud; and those who claim to be 'good generals' are as timid as chickens. What a downside! ”

From then on, Cao Cao had more respect and trust for Guo Jia, eating and walking together, and every time he encountered a major decision, he humbly listened to Guo Jia's opinions.

Because of Cao Cao's attention and trust, Guo Jia was able to play an extremely important role in Cao Cao's cause of unifying the north. After Guo Jia's death, when Cao Cao was defeated in the Battle of Chibi, he once lamented: "If Guo Jia was there, how could he have failed miserably to such a point!" It can be seen that Cao Cao attaches great importance to talents like Guo Jia.

For those who have the ability, pursuit, and hope to change their destiny through their ability, meeting Cao Cao is like a maxima meeting Bole, like a sapling meeting sunshine and moisture, how fortunate!

Moreover, even today, the phrase "death for the confidant" is still engraved in the hearts of countless young people, who are not afraid of hardship and fatigue, but just hope to wait for the person who is worth paying for themselves and who can make their blood boil again.

Cao Cao is a person who does not discriminate against women and cherishes talents and loves meritocracy

In the long history of the Chinese nation, women are often a group that is looked down upon. To this day, many women are discriminated against in finding jobs and mistreated in terms of income because of their gender. There are even good women who need to give up their rightful honor to men just because of their gender. Because many people assume that only men can decently represent the word honor. Some people may deny sexism, but they can't deny that it happens repeatedly.

However, in Cao Cao's case, gender issues are just five words floating in the sky: "This is not a thing." Cao Cao doesn't care if you are male or female, he only values your ability and talent.

Historically, in order to gather talents, Cao Cao once issued a "Decree for Seeking Talents", proposing that the employment of people should be "meritocratic" and opposed the use of "virtue" and "doors" to recruit people. Later, he issued another "Decree on the Prohibition of Short-term Officers", pointing out that although some people have shortcomings in some aspects, as long as they have talent, they must be equally appointed. A few years later, he issued the "Order of Meritocracy and Conduct Without Restraint".

From these three orders for seeking talent, it can be seen that Cao Cao is thirsty for talent, does not care about people's origins, and so on, which do not affect the overall situation, so there is the following story.

One day in 206 AD, when Cao Cao opened the "Shiji", Xu Yi had a sense of understanding, so he sighed: "If Cai Yong is still there, won't there be another Sima Qian?" ”

Cai Yong was a great literary scholar at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, and he was a fellow villager with Cao Cao, and the two were good friends in their early years.

During the reign of Emperor Ling of Han, Cai Yong served as a councillor and wrote several volumes of the History of Han. After Dong Zhuo entered Beijing, Cai Yong was reused. After Wang Yun took power, he killed Cai Yong on charges of "sympathizing with the national thief" Dong Zhuo, and his "History of Han" was lost. For this reason, every time Cao Cao read the Shiji, he sighed for Cai Yong's death.

Seeing this, Cao Cao's wife Bian Shi asked, "Why did the Lord sigh for a long time?" ”

Cao Cao explained the reason, and Bian said: "Although Cai Yong died, his daughter Wen Ji was very talented and was now the wife of King Zuoxian. Now that Han and Hun have reconciled, if Wen Ji can be brought back, maybe Cai Yong's lost things can be picked up. ”

Cao Cao listened, and the next day, he sent envoys to the Xiongnu with heavy money.

Wen Ji is Cai Yong's only daughter, extremely intelligent, has a strong memory, and is proficient in poetry, calligraphy, piano and painting. Once, when Cai Yong was playing the piano in the study, he broke a string, and when Cai Wenji heard it, she immediately ran over and said: "Dad, I know the string you broke!" Cai Yong said, "Oh? Which one do you say is broken? Wen Ji said, "It's the second root." After Cai Yong heard this, he was very surprised, so he tried again, and found that Wen Ji did not answer correctly by guessing, but indeed by strength. Cai Yong was pleasantly surprised, and since then he has deliberately cultivated Wen Ji in literature, historiography, music and other aspects.

Unfortunately, after Cai Yong was killed by Wang Yun, Wen Ji became alone. Later, in 194 AD, Li Zhu and Guo Xian fought in Changsha, the Xiongnu invaded and looted, Wen Ji and many women were taken away and sent to Serbia to marry the Xiongnu leader Zuo Xianwang.

By the time Cao Cao sent envoys to ransom her for her return to Han, Wen Ji had spent twelve years with the Xiongnu and had given birth to two sons for King Zuoxian. For Wen Ji's return to Han, King Zuo Xian initially disagreed, and after the Han envoy repeatedly stated that Cao Cao wanted Wen Ji to return to Han, in order to sort out cultural classics, and seeing that he sent so many gold and silver treasures, he agreed to Wen Ji's return to Han, but only on the premise that he could not take his two sons.

Hearing this news, as a woman who has become a mother, what is Cai Wenji's state of mind?

In the twelve years since she came to the Xiongnu, she has missed her hometown all the time. Whenever a Han came to Serbia, she would inquire about the news of her hometown. Now, how could she not be happy to hear that the Han Prime Minister Cao Cao had sent someone to ransom her for a large amount of money? However, King Zuoxian had an order: only Wen Ji was allowed to return to Han, and the second son was not allowed to accompany him. If she returns to the motherland, she will inevitably face the separation of flesh and blood, and she will not see her again for the rest of her life. The child is the mother's heart and flesh and is difficult to give up, but Cao Chengxiang's painstaking heart and deep love for the motherland make her not want to return and cannot return.

After a fierce ideological struggle, Wen Ji decided to return to the Han Dynasty with the pain of separation of flesh and bones, and thus had the touching swan song "Hujia Eighteen Beats". Of course, as for whether "Huji Eighteen Beats" was done by Cai Wenji, I will not analyze it here. In short, the friends who don't know much have time to check the information, and the faint pain of forbearance is shrouded in that verse, which is really unbearable to read.

After Wen Ji returned to the Han Dynasty, Cao Cao, as an elder, remarried her to Dong Qi, the governor of Tuntian.

After Wen Ji's life settled down, Cao Cao summoned Wen Ji again and said, "I heard that Madame's family has a lot of books and manuscripts, are they still preserved?" Wen Ji said, "My late father gave me more than four ancient books and manuscripts before he died, but none of them have survived several wars. However, I still remember some, and there are about 400 articles that can be memorized from beginning to end. Cao Cao said, "Great, I sent ten scribes to help Madame record and sort it out." Wen Ji said, "No need, I can write it myself." In this way, Wen Ji, with his amazing memory, silently wrote more than 400 ancient precious texts that had been lost into a volume and gave them to Cao Cao. Cao Cao read it one by one, and compared it with the several Cai Yong's posthumous manuscripts that he had preserved at hand, and he was very impressed.

It can be seen that if you can be a subordinate to Cao Cao, it should still be worth it.

In this day and age, women as good as Cai Wenji are not rare. And with the development of civilization and the progress of society, the status of women is also steadily rising. I hope that the world can give women more opportunities to show their talents, and let those women who have pursuits and dreams have the opportunity to show their style on the stage of all walks of life.
