In case you don't know, one of the things Microsoft has been quietly doing lately, which is transferring Chinese users' data abroad. Yes, you heard it right, it's to send your data abroad for others to see. Do you believe it?
Why is Microsoft doing this, you might ask? Hasn't it been investing in the Chinese market? Isn't it always building data centers? Doesn't it always say to protect the privacy of users? Doesn't it always say to comply with Chinese laws and regulations? Doesn't it always say that it wants to win-win with Chinese partners? Doesn't it always say that it wants to contribute to China's development?
The answer is simple, because it's Microsoft. Microsoft is like this, saying one thing, doing another, never putting users in mind, only putting their own interests first. Microsoft is like this, while selling its technology in the Chinese market, while doing things that are not good for China behind its back. Microsoft is like that, making money in China while betraying China abroad. Microsoft is like that, boasting about its cloud services in China while leaking data on Chinese users abroad.
If you don't believe it yet, I'll tell you how Microsoft does it. Microsoft recently sent an email to users in China reminding them that if they use certain products specifically available in China, such as Office 365, their data may be transferred to other countries for processing. Microsoft says this is to "make the product work as expected." Do you believe it?
I don't believe it. I think this is Microsoft's excuse, its real purpose is to evade Chinese supervision, in order to sell Chinese users' data to foreign competitors, in order to provide clues to foreign intelligence agencies, in order to provide targets for foreign hackers, in order to provide material for foreign media, in order to provide weapons for foreign politicians, in order to provide opportunities for foreign enemies.
You may also want to ask, does Microsoft have the consent of Chinese users? Has it told Chinese users where it was going to send their data? Has it told Chinese users what it was going to do with their data? Has it told Chinese users how it is going to protect their data? Has it told Chinese users how it can be responsible for their data?
The answer is obvious, no. Microsoft didn't get the consent of Chinese users, but it simply attached a link to the email to let users review its privacy policy. Did you know that after this link opens, you have to read a lot of English, you have to turn a lot of pages, you have to find a lot of terms, you have to understand a lot of technical terms, you have to accept a lot of risks. Do you have time? Do you have the energy? Are you capable? Do you have courage?
I didn't. I think this is Microsoft's deception, its real purpose is to make Chinese users ignorant, to make Chinese users helpless, to make Chinese users powerless, to make Chinese users silent, to make Chinese users powerless, to make Chinese users incompetent, to make Chinese users scoundrels.
You may also want to ask, did Microsoft violate Chinese laws and regulations by doing so? Did it violate China's cybersecurity law? Does it violate China's personal information protection law? Does it violate China's data security law? Did it violate China's anti-monopoly law? Does it violate China's national security law? Does it violate China's National Interests Law?
The answer is clear, there is. In doing so, Microsoft obviously violates China's laws and regulations, which not only infringes the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese users, but also endangers China's network security, damages China's data sovereignty, challenges China's legal authority, threatens China's national security, harms China's national interests, and violates China's bottom line.
According to the Data Security Law, the Cybersecurity Law and other regulations, foreign-funded enterprises involved in critical information infrastructure (including cloud computing, big data, etc.) must establish independent data centers in China or be hosted by Chinese enterprises. Where it is truly necessary to provide it overseas due to business needs, a security assessment shall be conducted in accordance with the measures formulated by the state internet information department in conjunction with the relevant departments of the State Council; Where laws or administrative regulations provide otherwise, follow those provisions.
You may also want to ask, will Microsoft be punished by China for doing this? Will it be investigated by Chinese regulators? Will it be prosecuted by a Chinese court? Will it be exposed by the Chinese media? Will it be boycotted by users in China? Will it break off diplomatic relations with Chinese partners? Will it be eliminated from the Chinese market?
The answer is looking forward to it, yes. In doing so, Microsoft will inevitably be punished by China, it will not only be investigated and punished by Chinese regulators, but also prosecuted by Chinese courts, exposed by Chinese media, boycotted by Chinese users, cut off by Chinese partners, and eliminated by the Chinese market. In doing so, Microsoft is digging its own grave, killing itself, and seeking its own death.
So, I'm here to remind you, if you're still using Microsoft products, stop it, if you still trust Microsoft's brand, wake up, and if you're still supporting Microsoft's development, reflect on it. Because Microsoft is not your friend, it is your enemy, it is your opponent, it is your threat, it is your hidden danger, it is your crisis, it is your scourge.
You may also want to ask, then what product should I use? What brand should I trust? What development should I support?
The answer is clear, use Chinese products, trust Chinese brands, and support China's development. Because China's products are tailored for you, it meets your needs, it meets your expectations, it protects your interests, it respects your privacy, it obeys your laws, and it maintains your security.
So, I'm here to appeal to you, if you love your country, if you love your nation, if you love yourself, abandon Microsoft, boycott Microsoft, say goodbye to Microsoft. Let us work together, with Chinese products, trust China's brand, support China's development, let us together, for China's rise, for China's strength, for China's glory, contribute our strength, contribute our wisdom, contribute our enthusiasm.
That's all I have to say, thank you for reading, thank you for your support, thank you for participating.
