On the evening of September 25, China's first new opera and national opera milestone work, "The White Haired Girl", will soon be the opening drama and will be unveiled at the Shenzhen Binhai Performing Arts Center to present a cultural feast for this newly opened cultural landmark in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The national opera "White Haired Girl" is performed by the China Opera and Dance Theatre, starring the famous soprano Lei Jia, the famous young tenor Zhang Yingxi, and the baritone singer Gao Peng.
"The White-Haired Girl" is the first new opera in China created by Yan'an Luyi in the new Yangge movement, which integrates Western opera art with the historical themes of the Chinese revolution, adopts the tune of folk music in northern China, fully absorbs opera music and its expression techniques, and takes a solid step on the road of sinicization of opera.
The reason why "The White-Haired Girl" is often performed is not only that it is a witness to a period of history, but also that it adheres to the creative orientation of "people-centered". Therefore, the choice of "White Haired Girl" as the opening drama of "Voice of the Bay Area" shows on the one hand the respect and importance of opera art, and more importantly, the admiration and cherishing of Chinese classic literary and artistic works.
The 2015 edition of "White Haired Girl" was rearranged under the organization of the former Ministry of Culture (now the Ministry of Culture and Tourism), and was loved by audiences of all ages during the tour across the country six years ago. Lei Jia said: "This is an affirmation of the artistic creation of the predecessors, but also an affirmation and hope for a new generation of Chinese opera singers, and we have the responsibility to inherit and display its artistic value and spiritual connotation." ”
Lei Jia has starred in a number of excellent works of Chinese opera and filmed China's first 3D opera film "White Haired Girl", which is known as the "fourth generation of white haired women". "My biggest pressure is how to let the audience of the new era continue to perceive the charm of this work, and in the performance, I often consider how to close the distance between the classic and the audience, especially the young audience." Lei jia said.
