In the 17th minute, Christian Romero brought down Leo at the edge of the box and referee Tilpin showed a yellow card and awarded AC Milan a free-kick in front. Olivier Giroud swung his heel, Tonali moved sideways, and Messias volleyed from a small angle on the right side of the box and rolled straight off the line.
In the 30th minute, Rafael Leo shifted laterally, Messias waded out of the angle of the goal and cut inside with his left foot to shoot high!
In the 42nd minute, Emerson split the side, Kulusevski spun his left foot back and Perisic barely returned and Meignan confiscated the ball.
In the 50th minute, Messias crossed into the middle and Brahim Díaz stumbled into the box to face the attacking Foster, Milan's 10 right-footed low shot was blocked.
In the 63rd minute, Kane's shot from a tight angle was blocked, and Hjbel swept past Tonali and forced a right-footed volley that Meignan blocked.
In the 66th minute, Leo crossed from the left, Brahim Dias turned and his shot was blocked, Giroud followed the momentum with a left-footed volley, and Foster, who was guarding the near post, saved the ball.
In the 78th minute, Romero received a second yellow card for a malicious foul on Te'o.
In stoppage time, Origi hit the post on the counter-attack.
