The planting area of loquat in Yishu Village, Yunxiao County, Fujian Province exceeds 1,000 mu, and in recent years, loquat has become the "golden fruit" for villagers to become rich.
"Yanshu Village is located in a remote mountainous area, and in the past, transportation was inconvenient, and loquats rotted in the garden when they were unsold, which is a pity." Wu Suhua introduced her entrepreneurial process as she walked. In 2008, Wu Suhua returned from Xiamen to start a business in his hometown of Yishu Village, and in 2010, he began to interact with friends on QQ videos to help villagers sell loquats. In 2019, Wu Suhua began to contact e-commerce "live streaming goods", enthusiastically helping villagers sell loquats and other agricultural products, and everyone called her "sister loquat".
Wu Suhua passed on the knowledge of e-commerce sales to the young people in the village, and organized them to sell the village's local products online. He also led the villagers to renovate tea gardens and tea factories that had been abandoned for many years, and established a professional cooperative for farmers to build villages with villagers.
"We contacted the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and introduced new varieties of loquat, just to let consumers taste better loquat. We most hope that the young college students in the village will return to their hometowns to start businesses, make the loquat industry bigger and stronger, and build their hometowns better. Wu Suhua said.
