Recently, Othello, a pure electric supercar owned by FARNOVA, a new brand of electric vehicles in China, was officially unveiled at the Beijing Film Festival "Filmmaker's Night". According to official data, the acceleration time of 0-100km/h is only 1.8 seconds, the maximum speed is 420 km/h, and the cruising range can reach 600 km. It is reported that the new car will be the first batch of mass production in June 2022, limited to 200 units per year. The final price is yet to be officially announced.
In terms of appearance, the new car was designed by the Fano Motors team, which has designed models such as the Lamborghini Urus. The body of the Othello super electric sports car is made of large-area carbon fiber, which reduces the overall weight of the body. The front is hollowed out and the overall subduction shape further enhances aerodynamic performance. The LED headlight cluster is slender in shape, and the suspended part located on the upper part of the front face has a visual impact.
The wedge-shaped design on the sides, with the classic design proportions, and the electric butterfly door design located on both sides of the body, perfectly blends the performance and elegance of the vehicle, with the same front and rear rim styles, but with significant differences in dimensions.
The tail spoiler and diffuser are very large in size, and above the diffuser we can see the English name of the model "Othello". Each light-emitting unit of the matrix taillights has sharp corners, which greatly enhances the technological sense of the new car.
In terms of interior, the use of simple design, two seats and steering wheel, and then up the dashboard, it constitutes the whole interior, looks quite simple and clean. There are not too many fancy lines and lights to create a visual effect. This minimalist design concept is blessed, and the interior feels simple and pure.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a self-developed dual-motor four-wheel drive system, which has a peak power of up to 1,350 kW (1,835 hp) and a staggering 12,000 N·m system torque. 0-100km/h acceleration takes only 1.8 seconds, and the speed is as high as 420km/h. Fano Othello supercar adopts the three-electric system independently developed by Fano New Energy, with a battery capacity of 75kWh and a maximum endurance of 600km.
