Apple today announced two next-generation processors (SoCs), the M2 Pro and M2 Max. M2 Pro 带来 12 核心 CPU、19 核心GPU,以及 32GB 的快速统一内存。 M2 Max 除了有 12 核心 CPU外,更提供多达 38 核心 GPU,400GB/s 统一内存频宽,以及多达 96GB 统一内存。
It is still a 5nm process
Although it was estimated that Apple's M2 Pro and M2 Max would be produced using TSMC's 3nm process, it was finally announced that it would be produced using the second-generation 5nm process.
With 67 billion transistors, the M2 Max features 400GB/s unified memory bandwidth and up to 96GB of fast and low-latency unified memory.
M2 Pro 具备 400 亿个晶体管,较 M1 Pro 多近 20%,更是 M2 的两倍。 至于 M2 Max 备有 670 亿晶体管,数量较 M1 Max 多 100 亿,相较 M2 更多逾 3 倍。
With 40 billion transistors, the M2 Pro features 200GB/s unified memory bandwidth and up to 32GB of fast and low-latency unified memory.
16 Core Neural Network Engine
Both the M2 Pro and M2 Max are equipped with Apple's next-generation 16-core neural network engine, which can perform 15.8 trillion operations per second, up to 40% faster than the previous generation.
M2 Max's unique video processing technology
Equipped with hardware-accelerated H.264, HEVC, ProRes video encoding and decoding, the M2 Pro can play multiple streams of 4K and 8K videos while consuming very little power. In addition to M2 Pro technology, M2 Max also has two video encoding engines and two ProRes engines, making video encoding speed up to 2 times faster than M2 Pro.
Use Adobe Photoshop to process images on MacBook Pro with M2 Pro up to 40% faster than M1 Pro and up to 80% faster than MacBook Pro with Intel Core i9 processor.
