"Now the environment of the sewage pond in our village has changed too much, it used to be dirty and smelly, everyone used to go around, and after treatment, this became a small attraction in our village." On the afternoon of January 12, the ladies of Nanhong Village, Tanghu Town, Tongcheng County, gathered by the small pond in the village to relax.
Since the launch of the joint creation activity, the two committees of Nanhong Village have actively combined the work of governance of the living environment in the village bay, starting from the small and practical matters in front of and behind the villagers' houses, and mobilizing the masses to make decisions and conspire through various forms such as house meetings and party member representative meetings. At the meeting, villagers reported that there was a sewage pond in the Liaojiawan group in the village, and garbage floating on the surface and overgrown weeds around it, which not only damaged the ecology, but also seriously affected the living environment of the surrounding villagers. After understanding the problem and the needs of the villagers, after discussion between the two village committees and many times soliciting the opinions and suggestions of Party members and the masses, it was decided to transform and upgrade the sewage pond.
As soon as they heard that the sewage pond in the village was going to be renovated, the surrounding villagers spontaneously raised funds and joined the construction, and in just two days, the village raised nearly 50,000 yuan for the renovation. "It's good that the village is renovating the sewer pond, and this is our own home, so we will definitely have to contribute," said Liao Yijun, a party member in Nanhong Village.
Domestic water diversion, pond perimeter hardening, landscape fence repair... Today, the ecological restoration of the Liaojia Sewage Pond has been completed, the former "smelly pool" has become the current "landscape pond", the "appearance and temperament" of Nanhong Village has been greatly improved, and the new appearance of the beautiful village bay has made the villagers harvest a full sense of happiness.
"Next, we wanted to transform the vacant land next to the pond into a small leisure square, so that the villagers can have an extra place to relax after tea and dinner." Liu Xubing, secretary of the general branch of the party in Nanhong Village, said that in the next step, Nanhong Village will take the joint creation activity as an opportunity to mobilize the masses to jointly build and manage together, continuously improve infrastructure construction, improve the long-term management mechanism of human settlement environment governance, and take multiple measures to build Nanhong Village into a beautiful village with beautiful environment and vitality.
