Oslo National Academy of Arts, located in Oslo, Norway, is one of two public institutions of higher learning in Norway that provide education in visual arts and design (the other being the Bergen State Academy of Arts). The Oslo State Academy of Arts was formed in 1996 by the merger of 5 independent academies (i.e. the National Academy of Arts and Industry, the National Academy of Fine Arts, the National Academy of Drama, the National Academy of Opera, and the National Ballet Academy). The Oslo National Academy of Arts has three departments: the Department of Design, the Department of Performing Arts and the Department of Visual Arts. The Oslo National Academy of Arts offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs such as Fine Arts, Ceramics, Metals, Textile and Graphic Arts, Fashion Design and Costume Design, Interior Architecture and Furniture Design, Visual Communication, Classical Ballet, Modern and Contemporary Dance, Jazz Dance, Acting, Directing, Costume Design, Directing, Choreography and much more.
