The weather ball dangles thoughtfully in the air. Giant ceiling glass frames the Copenhagen sky. The flowers shake on the fabric. In the microcosm, models walk like a breeze on stage. The rock patterns of malachite inspire a bird's-eye view of the vast rolling fields. Flocks of eagles swept over fabrics like moonlight. The garment stretches and flexes, rising with vitality and vitality. Nature and craftsmanship come alive together, and the sound of birdsong and electric music plays together.

The Holzweiler Spring/Summer 2023 collection was inspired by deep thinking about the parachute – the huge folded parachute that hangs halfway in the air. The brand blends aerodynamic with feather-light, protective materials and designs into slim, simple, dangling and relaxed ready-to-wear for everyday wear. Rip-resistant string-like ruffles wrap around the body and spiral around to create a variety of silhouettes. Realism is reflected here, with parachute metal straps, rings and launchers designed as clanging metal clasps, fasteners and jewelry.

Futuristic and nomadic life, pragmatism and free poetic improvisation come alive in the silhouettes of the costumes. The women's trousers are layered with a tulle-like petticoat, with exposed seams inspired by the suspension lines of parachutes in motion. The dress has a bow-shaped ladder-knit tie, protective pads sewn on the vest, and cargo pants with multiple pockets spliced around the thighs. The men's bomber jacket is crafted from smooth vegan leather, while men's wardrobe essentials such as tank tops, smart trench coats and trousers are sublimated, while bowling shirts and overall flared cuts are more youthful.

This season's colour palette mimics the hues of nature that skydivers see when they glide to the ground: desert grey, travertine, azure blue, coriander green and malachite green. The Glige Paisley swirl and floral motifs look like they're moving at high speed. The retro running theme is inspired by the retro skydiving logo of the 90s. In a print designed by wildlife illustrator Steven Michael Gardner, an eagle emerges in front of an illusory backdrop.

The combination of practical design and craftsmanship is once again a testament to Holzweiler's long-term commitment to craftsmanship. The abaca fabric and Sinameb pilot helmet protect the face from gravity, while Taiwanese speed weaving, woven in collaboration with bonnet designer Noel Stewart, acts as sun protection. The knitting technique is carefully applied to the wide herringbone striped cloth slippers and the delicate pilot hat. The long, knotted, kinked, or lace-up tassels are like eye-catching steering cords to fasten trench coats or drape from stacked shoulder bags. The appearance of the garment is designed with heavy chains, and the earrings take on the shape of concentric circles.

A cross-shoulder bag with a lock inspired by the parachuteist's backpack. Fabrics include recycled nylon, cotton and soft merino and super alpaca wool. The two innovative women's garments are made from tumbling pleats from an old parachute canopy donated by Norwegian sports commissioner Skyvoss, and are paired with tights made with decorative knotting art craftsmanship.

In Axelburg, home to the Danish Agriculture and Food Council, models follow the choreography of movement director Jagamotto, allowing their intuition to weave along the runway like a stream of consciousness. Their clothes danced like the ripples of the water blown by the wind and the waves that rose with it. They walk quietly under floating weather balls made of parachutes, birdsong echoing in the empty valley of the estuary, and the sound of bubbling water under the pebbles, as if recreating the 24-hour soundscape recorded by Yves Thomas in the Welsh countryside. Holzweiler plays peace in the vividness of all things – in the sky, in the rivers, in the heavens and the earth, like the chirping of birds at dawn.
