1905 Film Network News Xavier Dolan's self-directed new film "Matias and Maxim" released the official poster, starring Dolan himself, Pierre Luke Vonk, Harris Dickinson, Anna Dorval and others. The film has been shortlisted for the main competition section of the 72nd Cannes Film Festival.
Matthias and Maxim is Xavier Dolan's eighth directorial feature. In 2009, Dolan, as a director, screenwriter and actor, created his feature film debut "I Killed My Mother", which was shortlisted for the 62nd Cannes Film Festival Directors Bi-Week. Since then, his "Mommy" and "Just the End of the World" have been shortlisted for the main competition section of Cannes and won the Grand Jury Prize.

The new film Matthias and Maxime, filmed in Dolan's hometown of Quebec, Canada, will focus on friendships between young people nearly 30 years old. Dolan plays the male protagonist Marx, and his old partner Anna Dolval plays his mother.
