Mbappe joined Madrid on a free transfer this summer and was immediately touted as Ronaldo's record-breaking heir to the throne in Madrid, and the France has lifted the pressure off his shoulders.
After a difficult start to the 2024/25 season, Mbappe has failed to score in his first three La Liga games and struggled with France in international competitions, with the current Madrid star receiving some support from Ronaldo.
"Honestly, I think he's going to do a good job," he told Cristiano. The club is well structured, nice and solid. They have a great coach and a president who has been there for many years.
'I don't think it's going to be a big problem for him because of his talent, he's shown everything.' Honestly, I think he's going to do a good job.
"In my opinion, he can be the next Ballon d'Or winner in the years to come. He, it could be [Erling] Haaland, [Jude] Bellingham, Lamine [Yamal]...... I think the new generation, they have a lot of potential, but I'm sure [Mbappe] will do well.
