There is no mourning, no wreath, in this special ceremony, all the processes are Lu Guijun's own settings, simple and solemn. However, in this "fake drama and real performance", Lu Guijun, who had made sufficient preparations, suddenly found that he had burst into tears at some point.

As early as a few years ago, Lu Guijun had the idea of holding a funeral for himself. As a leader in the field of palliative care in China, what terminal patients need and what medical staff can do is a question he has been thinking about.
"Many people ask me, you have not died, you have no experience of death at all, what do you take to educate others?" I wondered how I could really let myself talk about life and death, so I wanted to experience all the scenes of life and death and make myself more qualified to talk about life and death. ”
To this end, he specially invited some of his friends to help, and set up a video for the funeral, a speech before his death, a review, a thank you speech for his children, etc., trying to make himself feel more and record the whole process.

Friends around me felt very absurd, "My mother said to me, this kind of thing is not feared by others, the topic is not willing to talk about, why should I pull it on myself? ”
And when Lu Guijun really lay on his funeral, his mood began to become subtle.
"You should take good care of your body." When the mortician was doing the final body care for him, Lu Guijun suddenly realized that he had not done SPA, had not done exquisite nursing, and he was somewhat indebted to this body. If it comes to his funeral, he hopes that his body will be taken care of by the people closest to him.
"The family was crying, and my child said that it was only at the last moment that he felt so deeply attached to me that it was difficult to accept his father's departure." Lu Guijun confessed that he actually couldn't bear to let his family live in this torment for a minute. Especially when his relatives were in tears, he found himself about to collapse, "inseparable from these people who love me."
At that moment, Lu Guijun finally understood that the end of his life was pure love.

Lu Guijun has always believed that he is engaged in palliative care and has more say in matters of life and death, but after this funeral, he found that he only has more courage to face life and death than ordinary people, and still needs to continue to make pilgrimages on this road.
In addition, Lu Guijun found that the most important growth in this ceremony was a stronger attachment to his family. "In the face of our patients, when they are about to say goodbye to the world, I will respect the attachment relationship between him and his loved ones more, and create opportunities for them to understand that whether people are still there or not, the gratitude, reluctance and love between each other will always be there."
Lu Guijun's friends also grew up at this ceremony. Lu Guijun told the Health Times reporter that friends have given him feedback and have their own new understanding of life and death. "Life and death education in China has always been lacking." Through such a thing, more people can face up to and think about the relationship between life and death, which is the greatest value.
