The total length of the body is 61~155 mm. flat head; The skin is smooth, only small warts, and the dorsal ridge is weak; Prominent lip folds at the corners of the mouth; The tongue is small and thick, oval, anterior and posterior end connected to the mucosa at the bottom of the mouth, the limbs are thin, and the fingers and toes are webless; The tail is very flattened. Males have hypertrophy of the anus and larger fissures; The female has a hilly ridge in the anus and a short fissure. The neck of the salamander is not obvious, the trunk is flatter, the limbs are more developed, the forelimbs have four fingers, the hind limbs have five toes, there is no webbing between the fingers (toes), and the tail side is flat and long.
