However, this "Tree of Life" uses less obscure words to make people understand not only Darwin's academic achievements, but also the trajectory of his life. There are two lines showing private life and public life, which give people a more comprehensive understanding of Darwin as a person.
From rejecting his father's arranged life course at the beginning to finally choosing the freedom he liked, fieldwork and the desire to explore nature made him the first to propose the theory of natural selection.
In that era, the personality of being able to maintain independent thinking and self, not conforming to the crowd, and having its own ideas, has surpassed the shock of evolution at a deeper level.
2 [Picture Book Illustration] "Tree of Life" is like a documentary film, illustrator Peter Sith's Darwin, as if it is a live-action version of the appearance, the real character appearance and the rendering of the living environment, like an old movie, constantly showing the story of that era.
