The Exorcist
"The Exorcist" has always been rumored to be based on a true story, according to the record, in January 1949, Maryland, the United States, a young lady Dorothy died mysteriously in her bedroom, a horrible death, at that time no one thought that her nephew, 14-year-old John, would become a continuation of this tragedy. Soon after, strange events occurred one after another, John's bed often shook violently for no reason, and food and knives and forks would suddenly fly in the room. John's temperament also became irritable, anxious, and often committed self-harming behaviors that ordinary people could not imagine, and when his parents tried to calm him down, John claimed to be Dorothy.
A month later, when strange symbols began to appear on John's body and groaned in illegible language, a Catholic priest tried to exorcise the spirits for him with holy water and a cross, but things got worse, John's body approached the dead body, the facial features began to twist, the teeth were all out, and the flesh and blood of the whole body were blurred and puffy, and a thick light green liquid flowed out.
In March, the Archbishop of St. Louis instructed the congregation Lawrence to perform a formal exorcism ceremony for John, which was performed several times a night, but John did not get better. After studying all the ancient books on exorcism, Lawrence finally found a way to exorcise demons. On April 18, Lawrence used a special necklace to exorcise John again, and the weakened little John exhaled a long breath and the demon was gone.

The exorcist's depiction of a young girl possessed by the devil is, in a sense, a mere revelation of a weakness in human nature—a demon possessed and infinitely increasing in power—a scene that is reminiscent of the biblical story of making a deal with the devil.
