Underground pests such as grubs, golden needle worms, and ground tigers can be controlled in this way and not occur for a season

author:Suiyang Agricultural Sciences

Crops such as potatoes, peanuts, and sweet potatoes use underground roots or tubers as food organs. In recent years, due to the return of a large number of straw to the field after wheat and corn harvest, the occurrence of underground pests is serious, especially grubs and golden needle worms, which have become the most common occurrence of peanuts, potatoes, sweet potatoes and other crops, the most harmful underground pests, poor control, often causing serious harm, resulting in reduced yields and declining quality. How can we effectively control underground pests? Today I will introduce you to a very good insecticide, the duration of which can be 90 days. This insecticide is thiazine.

Introduction to the agent

Thiamethoxine is a neonicotinoid insecticide, mainly to touch and gastric toxicity, with very good systemic conductivity and a certain degree of permeability, the agent can be absorbed by the rhizomes and leaves of plants, and in the plant body for two-way conduction, due to its slow metabolism in plants and soil, so it has a longer period of biological activity, soil effectiveness period of up to 90 days, resistant to rain washing. In addition to being used as a foliar spray, thiamethoxam can also be used for seed mixing and soil treatment, irrigation and other application methods, especially the long shelf life of chemical seed mixing and root irrigation, and can more effectively protect natural enemies.

Main features

Thiamethoxazine is a second-generation neonicotinoid insecticide, which has higher activity, better water solubility, longer shelf life, lower toxicity, better insecticidal effect, and less resistant drug resistance compared with the first generation of neonicotinoidine and acetamidine. Not only can it efficiently control aphids, thrips, gray planthoppers and other sucking pests for seed mixing or soil treatment, but also can efficiently control underground pests such as grubs and golden needle worms, and the control effect is more than 8 times higher than imidacloprid, which is the preferred agent instead of imidacloprid.

How to use

(1) Soil treatment: Before sowing peanuts, potatoes, sweet potatoes, ginger and other crops, 5% thiamethoxine granules can be used 750 to 1000 g / mu, mixing and curing organic fertilizer 15 to 30 kg, evenly spreading. It can effectively prevent the harm of seeds and seedlings by underground pests such as grubs, golden needle worms and ground tigers. Thiamethoxam is stable in the soil and lasts for more than 90 days.

(2) Seed mixing treatment: before sowing peanuts, potatoes, ginger and other crops, then use 27% phenyl ether, thymethiasis suspension seed coating agent according to the proportion of seeds 500-665 ml / 100 kg of seeds for seed mixing, the seed coating agent is evenly wrapped on the seed surface, part of the agent through osmosis, into the seed inside, part of the dissolution evenly distributed in the soil around the root system of seedlings, better protection of seeds and seedlings from grubs, golden needle worms, the effective period of up to 80 days or more, Basically, it ensures that there are no underground pests throughout the growth period, and at the same time, it can also treat aphids, root rot, leaf spot disease, brown spot disease and other diseases and insect pests.
