Mexico's 45° slope road is popular: a house has been hit more than 20 times in one day, and the government has issued a "hit" subsidy

Recently, a narrow street in Florenti, west of Mexico City, went viral on social media. It is reported that the 300-meter-long street has a gradient of up to 45°, and trucks, taxis, motorcycles, police cars and other vehicles will slip and "land" on this road every day, and even many pedestrians will fall when walking on it.

The street is reportedly more prone to slippage on rainy days, turning into a veritable "landslide". In order to alleviate this problem, the local government deliberately carved a speed reduction belt on the road to increase friction, and also added multiple drains, but because the slope was too large, the effect was not obvious.

Local residents say it is common for vehicles to skid on the street as normal, and some residents report installing a collision-proof fence in front of their homes. It is understood that two families on this street are hit almost every day, and the most frequent is up to 20 times a day, so the government also gives them special subsidies.

Surveillance showed multiple cars having accidents on the street

In the explosion of social media, this street has attracted many netizens to check in, and this place has gradually become a tourist attraction. One netizen quipped: "This road must have been designed by a local auto repair shop." ”

But so far, Guinness World Records has not recognized it as the steepest road, and Baldwin Street, New Zealand's largest gradient of 19°, still holds the record.
