Model of the protected cruiser 1st class of the British Royal Navy "Gibraltar" on a scale of 1 to 48 (imperial). The model was made by the ship's builder, Robert Napier & Sons, at the shipyard in Govan, Glasgow, Scotland. As always, the model is beautiful, with many parts plated in gold and silver, and the model is painted with the "white hull, yellow chimney" livery commonly used by British naval cruisers in service with tropical waters.

HMS Gibraltar is the fifth ship of the Edgar class of 1st class protected cruisers, which were born out of the famous Naval Defense Act of 1889. The Gibraltar was launched on 27 April 1892 and commissioned on 1 November 1894. Before World War I, she spent most of her time at overseas sites in the British Royal Navy. He was in reserve at Portsmouth from 1905 to 1908, joined the Home Fleet at Devonport in 1912 and became part of the Queenstown Training Squadron in February 1913. After the outbreak of World War I in 1914, she joined the 10th Cruiser Squadron, disarmed in the Shetland Islands in 1915 and converted into a supply ship to serve the Northern Patrol stationed there (the 10th Cruiser Squadron was attached to the Northern Patrol and its core), and her two 6-inch Mk1 rapid-fire guns were placed at Swarbacks Head on the island of Webmingtree and used as shore defense guns, where they have survived to this day. It became a destroyer carrier from 1919 to 1922 and was sold for dismantling in September 1923.

The model is now in the collection of the National Maritime Museum
