Queen Margrethe of Denmark continues to celebrate her 50th anniversary on the throne, currently the only female monarch in the world.

The decision is not the only cut made by the Danish royal family, as back in 2016, Queen Margaret announced that only Crown Prince Frederick and Crown Princess Marie's eldest son Christian would be able to receive state allowances, while his siblings Isabella, Vincent and Josephine, despite being princes and princesses, would have to pursue other careers to support themselves.
