Disney's "National Treasure: Edge of History" spin-off series, which will be launched on Disney+ on December 14, is a spin-off series featuring women and directed by India's most famous female director Mira Nair (Monsoon Wedding, Stranger at Lahore's Teahouse), the story unfolds from the perspective of Jesse, a 20-year-old Latino woman who dreams big and embarks on a lifelong adventure with friends to uncover her mysterious family history and recover lost treasures. Catherine Zeta-Jones will play a billionaire named Billy, who is also an expert on black market antiques. Originally a penniless orphan, Billie longs to find the lost Pan American treasure, but she's not just for the money, this treasure has a deeper stake for her.
