Indeed, before Imran Khan, Pakistani power had long been in the hands of Shahbaaz's Sharif family.
The Sharif family made its fortune during the partition of India and Pakistan, when Sharif Sharif Sr. founded Itfak Industries, which ventured into the steel, sugar and textile industries. As the business empire expanded, his family became a wealthy family in Punjab.

After Shahbaz became prime minister, the people still supported Imran Khan, and even riots broke out in many places.
