On November 9, the Critical Care Rehabilitation Center of Chong'ai Rehabilitation Hospital of Jinan University was officially opened. Li Yongsheng, secretary of the hospital's party branch, pointed out that the official opening of the hospital's intensive care rehabilitation center will help improve the hospital's overall medical rehabilitation service level, which is of great significance for the clinical rehabilitation of critically ill patients, which is also the first platform in South China to integrate emergency and critical care treatment, which is expected to realize ultra-early rehabilitation intervention of critically ill patients, improve the speed and level of functional recovery of patients, and help patients return to their families as soon as possible.

Compared with a separate ICU department, the Ji Da Chong'ai Intensive Care Rehabilitation Center integrates emergency and critical care treatment, which has the advantages of allowing family care and companionship, relieving patients' emotions, and improving rehabilitation effects, and has more critical emergency functions than a separate intensive rehabilitation department, which is a new attempt and has no precedent in South China.

Gao Youshan, director of the Department of Critical Rehabilitation of Chong'ai Rehabilitation Hospital of Jinan University, introduced that the Jinan Chong'ai Intensive Care Rehabilitation Center was upgraded from the intensive rehabilitation unit (HDU), with 40 beds in the first phase and a total of 80 beds in the second phase. According to ICU standards, it is equipped with a series of advanced medical rescue, monitoring and rehabilitation equipment at home and abroad. The high standard is equipped with a number of specialists with ICU backgrounds, rehabilitation physicians, therapists, and nursing teams with ICU specialty qualifications with extensive experience in intensive care. 24-hour monitoring every day, adopting the configuration standard of dedicated care, can effectively grasp the best time node, while stabilizing the condition and accelerating the recovery of the disease, through the intervention of early rehabilitation, strengthen the recovery of patients' organs and limb functions, and form a new model of all-round health management of "medical security, overall rehabilitation, and characteristic nursing", so that patients can return to their families and society as soon as possible.
