Four big trades in the offseason — the Timberwolves have been a bit of a big deal so far!!!
1⃣ The Hawks traded Gallinari, three first-round picks and one future draft pick swap to the Spurs for Dejantae Murray, and the Hawks formed a double backcourt combination of Trae Young + Murray.
Trae Young averaged 34.9 minutes per game last season, averaging 28.4 points and 9.7 assists while shooting 40.5 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from three-point range. Averaged 34.1 minutes per game in the new season, averaging 27.5 points and 9.4 assists per game, shooting 38.5% from the field and 31.7% from three-point range.

So far in the new season, the playing time and scoring assists of the two have not increased or decreased significantly. Trae Young's shooting percentage and three-point shooting percentage dropped significantly, while Murray's shooting percentage didn't change significantly, increasing his three-point shooting percentage by 7.7 percent.
Judging from the division of labor between the two people, Murray's main control of Trae Young has a good effect, at least so far the Hawks' recruitment is successful, I believe that with the run-in of time, the cooperation of the two people will be more tacit and play a greater role. The Hawks are currently fourth in the East at 6-3 and are expected to take the season even further.
2⃣ The Cavaliers sent Sexton, Markkanen and Olon Abaki away in the summer, along with three first-round first-round picks (2025, 2027 and 2029) and two first-round picks (2026 and 2028) to acquire Mitchell from the Jazz to form the All-Star backcourt combination of Garland + Mitchell.

The Garland + Mitchell combination and the Trae Young + Murray combination have the same effect, and Garland dominates Mitchell's main attack. The Cavaliers are currently second in the East at 7-1, and the Cavaliers have a better roster than the Hawks, and the new season is worth looking forward to.
3⃣ The Timberwolves sent Malik Beasley, Beverley, Kessler, Vanderbilt, Bormaro, four first-round picks and one first-round swap to the Jazz in the summer, getting three-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert, four specific first-round picks in 2023, 2025 and 2027, all unprotected, and 2029 is a top five protection.

In the era of small ball, the Timberwolves did the opposite, spending a lot of money to bring in Gobert to form the twin towers, and from the current point of view, the two-tower combination did not play the effect that the Timberwolves expected. Instead, it has affected the offensive rhythm and space of the Timberwolves team, especially the impact on the young Edwards, who is good at breaking through and needs to open up space on the outside, but now when Gobert is on the floor, it affects the inside space, which is not conducive to Edwards' breakthrough offense, and even hinders Edwards' growth and progress a little.
