Four big trades in the offseason — the Timberwolves have been a bit of a big deal so far!!!

1⃣ The Hawks traded Gallinari, three first-round picks and one future draft pick swap to the Spurs for Dejantae Murray, and the Hawks formed a double backcourt combination of Trae Young + Murray.

Trae Young averaged 34.9 minutes per game last season, averaging 28.4 points and 9.7 assists while shooting 40.5 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from three-point range. Averaged 34.1 minutes per game in the new season, averaging 27.5 points and 9.4 assists per game, shooting 38.5% from the field and 31.7% from three-point range.

Murray averaged 21.1 points and 9.2 assists in 34.8 minutes per game last season while shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 32.7 percent from three-point range. Averaged 36.4 minutes per game, 22 points and 7.8 assists per game, shooting 46.7% from the field and 40.4% from three-point range.

So far in the new season, the playing time and scoring assists of the two have not increased or decreased significantly. Trae Young's shooting percentage and three-point shooting percentage dropped significantly, while Murray's shooting percentage didn't change significantly, increasing his three-point shooting percentage by 7.7 percent.

Judging from the division of labor between the two people, Murray's main control of Trae Young has a good effect, at least so far the Hawks' recruitment is successful, I believe that with the run-in of time, the cooperation of the two people will be more tacit and play a greater role. The Hawks are currently fourth in the East at 6-3 and are expected to take the season even further.

2⃣ The Cavaliers sent Sexton, Markkanen and Olon Abaki away in the summer, along with three first-round first-round picks (2025, 2027 and 2029) and two first-round picks (2026 and 2028) to acquire Mitchell from the Jazz to form the All-Star backcourt combination of Garland + Mitchell.

Garland averaged 35.7 minutes per game last season, averaging 21.7 points and 8.6 assists while shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from three-point range. He averaged 16.5 points and 7.5 assists in 28 minutes per game this season, shooting 39.3 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from three-point range.

Mitchell averaged 33.8 minutes per game last season, 25.9 points and 5.3 assists per game, shooting 44.8% from the field and 35.5% from three-point range, and 31.1 points and 7.1 assists per game in the new season, while shooting 48.1% from the field and 43.8% from three-point range.

The Garland + Mitchell combination and the Trae Young + Murray combination have the same effect, and Garland dominates Mitchell's main attack. The Cavaliers are currently second in the East at 7-1, and the Cavaliers have a better roster than the Hawks, and the new season is worth looking forward to.

3⃣ The Timberwolves sent Malik Beasley, Beverley, Kessler, Vanderbilt, Bormaro, four first-round picks and one first-round swap to the Jazz in the summer, getting three-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert, four specific first-round picks in 2023, 2025 and 2027, all unprotected, and 2029 is a top five protection.

Last season, Gobert averaged 15.6 points, 14.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game while shooting 71.3 percent from the field, the highest shooting percentage and rebounds in the league, and Towns averaged 24.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. So far this season, Gobert is averaging 12.6 points, 13.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game, and Towns is averaging 21.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game.

In the era of small ball, the Timberwolves did the opposite, spending a lot of money to bring in Gobert to form the twin towers, and from the current point of view, the two-tower combination did not play the effect that the Timberwolves expected. Instead, it has affected the offensive rhythm and space of the Timberwolves team, especially the impact on the young Edwards, who is good at breaking through and needs to open up space on the outside, but now when Gobert is on the floor, it affects the inside space, which is not conducive to Edwards' breakthrough offense, and even hinders Edwards' growth and progress a little.

The Timberwolves are currently 5-5 in tenth place in the West, at least so far, the Timberwolves' recruitment has not worked as it should, of course, it is a bit premature to conclude that the recruitment failed. Let's take a look at the later running-in effect!

4⃣ The Celtics traded Theis, Nesmith, the 2023 first-round pick in the summer, as well as Nick Stauskas, Malik Fitz and Juwan Morgan from the Pacers, and Rogdenbu averaged 33.5 minutes per game last season, averaging 19.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.9 assists. So far this season, Brogdon has averaged 23.8 minutes per game, 15 points and 3.6 assists.

Brogdon lived up to the expectations of the Green Army and played the role of the sixth man well. Brogdon is on the field, not only adding a tactical starting point but also an additional endpoint, I believe that with the run-in of time and the increase of the tacit understanding of the whole team, Brogdon's organizational ability can better help the team.

The Greens are currently third in the East with 6-3 and believe that after last season's Finals, Brontatum's growth coupled with Brogdon's offensive and organizational skills, the Greens will be more sure and confident to break through the championship in the new season.
