Pufferfish, commonly known as pufferfish, were called lungfish in ancient times. A general term for the bony fish of the family Pufferidae. Pufferfish are warm temperate and tropical offshore demersal fish, inhabiting the middle and lower layers of the ocean, a small number of species into the freshwater rivers, when encountering external dangers, the entire body in a spherical floating water, while the skin of the small thorns erected, in order to defend themselves. Common are redfin oriental pufferfish, dark-striped oriental pufferfish, black gill rabbitfish, concave-nosed pufferfish, black-spotted fork-nosed pufferfish and so on.
They blow water and air in the water, causing the sediment to fly, and then prey on the creatures hiding in the sand. Because the teeth and jaws are very hard, even extremely hard shells can be crushed.
Puffer fish are the second most poisonous vertebrate in the world. The toxin in this fish is scientifically called tetrodotoxin, which can cause symptoms such as hypertension and muscle paralysis, and cause poisoned people to die due to diaphragm muscle paralysis and respiratory arrest.
