CCTV news: The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs today (October 29) released the operation of the agricultural and rural economy in the first three quarters.
Since the beginning of this year, agricultural and rural departments at all levels have effectively responded to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic and serious natural disasters, made every effort to stabilize production and ensure supply, concentrated on consolidating achievements and guarding the bottom line, and focused on strengthening construction to promote revitalization. The added value of the primary industry was 5.4779 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%, providing solid support for protecting people's livelihood and preventing inflation and stabilizing the overall economic market.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said that since the beginning of this year, grain production on the mainland has been stable and improving, and grain harvests are expected to be bumper again throughout the year.
Summer grain and early rice have been abundantly received. The output of summer grain was 294.8 billion jin, an increase of 2.87 billion jin over the previous year. The output of early rice was 56.25 billion jin, an increase of 210 million jin over the previous year.
Autumn grain is expected to reap another bumper harvest. This year, the northeast, Huanghuaihai and northwest regions have a good match of light temperature and water, the growth of autumn grain is the best in recent years, and the impact of high temperature and drought in the south is generally limited. At present, the autumn grain harvest is nearly ninety percent.
Soybean oil seed expansion has achieved remarkable results. This year, the national soybean and oilseed production capacity improvement project was launched, the scale of grain and bean rotation was expanded, and more than 15 million mu of soybean and corn strip compound planting was promoted, and the soybean area increased a lot. The area, yield and total output of rapeseed in summer harvest achieved "three increases", and other oil crops such as peanuts and oil sunflower showed a stable production trend.
Autumn and winter planting is generally progressing smoothly. Eighty percent of winter wheat has been sown and seventy percent of winter rapeseed has been sown.
According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, in the first three quarters, the mainland meat, eggs, milk, fruits, vegetables and fish grew steadily, and the supply of "vegetable basket" products was sufficient and of high quality.
Pig production has developed steadily. In the first three quarters, pork production was 41.5 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.9%. At the end of September, the number of live pigs was 443.94 million, an increase of 1.4% year-on-year. Among them, the national sow inventory is 43.62 million, which has increased for five consecutive months, the production capacity is at a reasonable level, and the later market supply is guaranteed.
Cattle, mutton, poultry and aquatic products grew steadily. In the first three quarters, beef output was 4.85 million tons, up 3.6% year-on-year, mutton output was 3.46 million tons, up 1.5% year-on-year, poultry meat output was 17.3 million tons, up 1.7% year-on-year, poultry egg output was 24.99 million tons, up 2.7% year-on-year, milk output was 27.09 million tons, up 7.7% year-on-year, and aquatic products output was 45.15 million tons, up 3.9% year-on-year.
The supply of fruits and vegetables has increased. At the end of September, the area of vegetables in the country was 94.98 million mu, an increase of 1.5 million mu year-on-year. Fruits have entered the concentrated market season, with stable production and rich varieties.
The level of quality and safety has been steadily improved. The qualification rate of routine monitoring of the quality and safety of agricultural products was stable at more than 97.5%, and the supply of green, organic and geographical indication agricultural products further increased.
