Six years of drifting north and four years of returning to his hometown coincided with the decade of his transition from youth to maturity.
In the past ten years, he has focused on power safety evaluation and has not changed his heart; In the past ten years, he has decorated his life with love, and his fun is infinite. Safety must have a bottom line, but life should not set limits. From slash youth to slash talent, the years have increased, the vitality has not decreased, and his life plan has become more and more full.
Slash talent, no boundaries, more exciting. He is a safety evaluator destined to be associated with "electricity" and a slash talent who is always exploring the joy of life. He is the protagonist of this interview, Song Yang.
Q: What are the main objects of the power safety evaluation and the content of the evaluation?
Song Yang: The main face of power safety evaluation is power plants, which are divided into thermal power plants and new energy power plants, such as wind power, photovoltaic power generation, and chemical energy storage power stations.
In terms of evaluation content, the evaluation of thermal power plants is relatively more complicated, because its power generation principle is converted from chemical energy to thermal energy, thermal energy into mechanical energy, and finally from mechanical energy to electrical energy, involving equipment, system knowledge in terms of machinery, furnaces, combustion, chemical and electricity, etc., and requires certain professional technology to carry out projects. The principle of new energy power generation is relatively simple, such as wind power generation, which is to directly convert wind energy into electricity, there are fewer production links, the system is simple, and the evaluation work is relatively easy.

Q: Since entering the industry, which stage of growth has been the fastest?
Song Yang: Long story short, in fact, every stage of growth is vividly remembered. My first job after graduating in 2008 was to build a nuclear power plant, and the first project was the pre-construction of the Qinshan Phase II nuclear power plant. At that time, when I first came into contact with the power business, I felt that I would have a closer connection with "electricity" in the future.
Four years later, I switched to safety evaluation, working for a company in Beijing, although there is some experience in the field of electricity, but as an evaluation newcomer, there is still a lot of confusion, can only eagerly learn, step by step to solve the problems encountered in the work, cultivate self-learning ability, the growth of that stage is very fast.
In 2018, I ended my six-year life in the North Drift and came to Likang. My role has also changed from an evaluator to an evaluation mentor, helping the company to cultivate a new force in power safety evaluation, and at the same time further improving my professional level in in-depth exchanges with experts, and the current stage of knowledge precipitation and industry thinking has also made a qualitative leap in my growth.

Q: Compared to myself when I first started in the industry, what happened to my mentality?
Song Yang: When I first started the industry, I was curious about everything and wanted to learn everything. But after all, the energy to learn is limited, and you can't absorb all the knowledge so quickly. Looking back now, I still feel that I have to face this matter with a very calm mind. Things are developing slowly, and people's growth is also a process of slow accumulation, don't be too eager to succeed, and don't care too much about the mistakes made in the early stage of growth. The newcomer period is allowed to make mistakes, but do not make the same mistake repeatedly, let alone fall in one place, just lie still, learn to summarize, learn to grow.

Q: Which project impressed you?
Song Yang: I have been engaged in the safety evaluation industry for 10 years, and I have been impressed by many projects. The first large-scale project I participated in was the safety acceptance evaluation project of one million units in Hezhou, Guangxi, which was relatively rare in the country at that time. And this project from the landing to acceptance, a series of processes of the enterprise are quite standardized, can be used as a safety evaluation benchmarking project, whether it is to communicate with the enterprise information, project progress, rectification feedback, or communicate with experts to review and modify, etc., I have gained a lot in it.
In addition, this is an economic recycling project, with a thermal power plant, a brewery and a cement plant in the same area, and the three factories can be recycled with each other. Power plant can provide energy for the brewery, the waste diatomaceous earth produced by the brewery can be used as fuel after settlement, and the cinder produced by the combustion of the power plant can make bricks for the cement plant, so as to achieve the purpose of recycling and reusing the waste material resources at the end, so as to achieve environmental protection, economy conservation and coordinated development, and this business model awareness is very advanced.

Q: Some great ways to learn about the industry?
Song Yang: First of all, you must have your own subjective initiative, independent learning, independent summary and induction, so that knowledge can be transformed into your own fruit. Then, we must accumulate safety evaluation and industry knowledge, whether it is industry standards or related preparation procedures, which is a necessary condition for writing a level and depth evaluation report, and it is also a quality requirement that must be possessed to become an excellent evaluator. When you study the standard specification, you must not ignore the annotation after the article - the article description, many confusions and questions can be found here. This accumulation of details can also help us improve the practical guidance and scientific rationality of the report, so as to truly improve the quality of the reporting technology and better provide security countermeasures and suggestions for enterprises.

Q: How do you stay motivated at all times?
Song Yang: First of all, you have to have a girlfriend, and then you have to get married and have children, one is not enough to get two, and then you have to support both parents. It seems like pressure, but in fact, I feel more happiness in it. Be a person with the courage to take responsibility, be responsible for yourself, be responsible for your family, be responsible for the enterprise and even the country and the whole society. Just like safety cannot be relaxed for a moment, people must always have a sense of responsibility in order to be full of energy at all times.
Of course, my motivation is not all from work and family, and there are many hobbies to recharge me. I like to experiment and accept new things and new technologies. For example, photography, many people know that I love to shoot the stars and the moon, and I wait for hours at night with mosquito bites, even if I only take a good shot, I will be particularly excited. On the other hand is exercise, which makes people healthy. I like basketball, table tennis, badminton, billiards. There is also a game of chess, which is suitable for movement and static.

Q: Would you rather pursue short-term goals or long-term goals?
Song Yang: I think both short-term goals and long-term goals should be pursued. Short-term goals are relatively easy to achieve, easy to be satisfied, and have advanced help for the implementation of long-term plans; I think long-term goals are a must. I have grown from an evaluator to an evaluation tutor now, and next year I will prepare for the exam as a first-level evaluator and become a higher-level technician. Then after a decade or so, you need to raise yourself up and enter the ranks of experts, and even the provincial and national expert databases. It is important to have such a clear long-term career plan.
Short-term goals can take into account work and family, I plan to have 1-2 family trips a year, so that children are exposed to some new things, increase their knowledge and experience, which is helpful for the growth of children. Personally, I am also looking forward to returning to the project site I have evaluated, going to see it in the field, and when I see that they are running safely and smoothly, I will definitely have a lot of emotions in my heart.

Q: Do you have any suggestions to share with newcomers to the industry?
Song Yang: When preparing the report, don't blindly refer to the report template, you can first refer to the relevant guidelines for the preparation of the norms, and eat the guidelines thoroughly, I think this is a more formal growth route. There are not only content requirements under each chapter and heading, but also a clear list of information, which is also very helpful for communicating with enterprises. After the report is compiled, it must be reviewed by yourself to avoid low-level errors such as typos and inconsistencies, and the relevant attachments of the report should be fully attached.
Finally, don't be overly nervous at the expert review meeting, the review meeting is just a way to communicate, and the expert asking questions is not to embarrass you, but to hope that you can improve. As long as you have a correct attitude, humble consultation, and pay attention to the advice of experts, you will be able to grow faster.

Q: Does this profession bring you happiness?
Song Yang: I don't really want to hide, I was older at the time, and I chose this profession to find a girlfriend. The greatest happiness that this profession brings to me is to give me a happy family and make the progress of life smoother. Chunrong and I (Wang Chunrong) met when we were drifting in the north, from having a companion to commute to now being a family (and colleague), she gave me a lot of thoughtfulness and understanding. Of course, there are times when there is a conflict because of work, after all, I think from the perspective of an evaluator, but her big picture will definitely prevail in the end. But from another perspective, work also gives us a lot of common language.
Also, as my work experience increased, I gained a whole new understanding of safety. It is very gratifying to see the projects I have experienced slowly growing, the power plants operating normally, and the negative news in the power industry becoming less and less. In the torrent of the industry, this profession is not only a path for me to make a living, but also a small contribution to guarding safety.

Q: During your lunch break, you can often see your heroic posture in playing table tennis and give your friends a score for their skills, right?
Song Yang: In fact, I have only been more exposed to table tennis since this year, and I am still in the stage of learning and improving, and the styles of golfers have different strengths. I'm a forehand attacking player, and I'm comfortable playing against defensive players and can hold on for a few more rounds. Like Qian Zhuang, the defense is more rigorous, the landing point is tricky, I have been trying to improve the technology, hoping to break through his defensive barrier. In addition, Shi Haojun, a forehand attacking player, will pay more attention to quickly solving battles in the first three boards, and his rotation ability is particularly strong, which I lack in this regard. I can make progress with everyone, and I hope that my basic skills will be more solid.

Q: What are your near-term aspirations?
Song Yang: There really is one, and I am going to save money to buy a lens with a SLR camera. The children are growing up day by day, and I want to give them more photos to record their growth.
