Synopsis:
Shigeru (Maki-Tibetan), a young man born with hearing impairment, discovers a damaged surfboard that has been thrown away while recycling garbage. Shigeru takes it back for repairs and takes her lover, Takako (Hiroko Oshima), who is also deaf and mute, to the sea.
Although the surfer beginner Shigeru always fails, he is laughed at by the frequent surfers and practices desperately. Soon the surfboard broke, and Mao waited for the day of the salary to buy a new one, and began to go to the beach again.
Seeing Shigeru concentrate on learning surfing, the manager of the surf supply shop Nakajima (Fujiwara Minozo), gave him a wetsuit and an application to participate in a surfing competition. The first time I participated, I was unable to participate due to lack of experience. But his skills became more and more skilled, and Shigeru, who participated in the competition for the second time, won a trophy and took a photo with his girlfriend Takako at the beach.
One rainy day, Mao came to the beach alone to surf, and the lover Takako came to the beach as usual, but did not find Mao's figure, only the surfboard floated on the beach.
Takako came to the competition venue again with the surfboard, pasted a photo of the two on the surfboard, and drifted away with the waves.
