The most brutal moment of the Marvel Universe

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the most entertaining modern movie series. One of the reasons the Marvel Universe is so popular is its sense of humor. Many Marvel movies and TV series feature comic book characters joking and quoting popular culture. It makes you feel more connected to the universe, like you're getting to know your friends. However, that doesn't mean the Marvel Universe lacks the ability to blacken out. If the characters don't bear the consequences for their decisions, then the audience has no reason to worry about their survival.

6. Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

The 2017 indie film Spider-Man: Homecoming gives a fresh feel to the previous Spider-Man avatar. One of the problems with 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man is that it feels so similar to 2002's Spider-Man. Rather than repeat the mistakes of the past, Spider-Man: Homecoming begins its story some time ago when Peter Parker (Tom Holland) played Spider-Man to save people. That means the Marvel Universe will never have to describe the death of Peter's uncle, Ben Parker.

Before the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021, it was unclear whether Peter would experience a similar tragic moment. In the incarnation of this character, Peter witnesses the death of his aunt Mae Parker (Marissa Tome). May is killed by Norman Osborne/Green Goblin (William Dafoe), and Peter feels it is his personal responsibility to put her in danger. Watching May slowly die was sad, and Holland's tearful reaction made the whole process even more tragic.

5. The Death of the Killer Trafficker – Black Panther (2018)

The protagonist of Marvel Studios' Black Panther is the best villain in the Marvel Universe: Eric Kilmenger (Michael B. Jordan). In many ways, Kilmunger is hardly even called a villain, as he makes the important point of Wakanda's isolation in the Marvel Universe. Wakanda has done little to help people of color who are suffering around the world. Kilmung wanted to seize the throne of Wakanda and fundamentally change the way the fictional state interfered in world affairs.

However, Kilmunger's revolution turned violent, and he was forced to fight his cousin T'Challa (Chadwick Bosman). T'Challa understood Kilmunger's point of view, but did not want to see him touch Wakanda's military weapons. After a fierce fight, Kilmunger was seriously injured but refused any treatment that could save his life. He told T'Challa that he would rather die freely than spend the rest of his life in prison.

4. Isaiah Bradley reveals his backstory – The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)

The 2021 Falcon and the Winter Soldier series tells the story of how the Super Soldier program operates after Steve Rogers was presumed dead in World War II. While investigating an extremist group called "The Flag Smashers," Bucky and Sam Wilson (Anthony McGee) meet Korean War veteran Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbley).

Although it's just a conversation, it's brutal to hear everything Bradley endured because of Lumbly's emotional performance. Bradley told Bucky and Sam that he had tried to rescue other imprisoned black soldiers, but that he had been captured by the U.S. government. Bradley's existence has been a secret to everyone else in the world, including Steve Rogers. It also explains why Bradley cautioned Sam not to take up the mantle of the new "Captain America" because he didn't believe the country could make him a hero without destroying a black man.
