I received my undergraduate degree in journalism from a non-secondary institution (also a Whampoa Military Academy of Law) and applied for a master's degree in the College of Culture and Creativity of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Shanghai has developed rapidly in recent years and is located in Shanghai, which has great advantages in employment and practice. And the ICCI I chose is very special. ICCI is a college jointly organized by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the University of Southern California, teaching all English during the graduate period, and the faculty team is also composed of teachers from Shanghai and USC. The master's degree system is 2.5 years, and the second year can choose to go abroad to study at USC. Compared to applying on your own, ICCI provides a great platform for learning.
The score line is relatively low and has a global perspective, and the only thing that ICCI may be hesitant about is the relatively high tuition fee: it is 10.8w a year at home, and one credit point for studying abroad is 1800+ US dollars, a total of 22 credits. Therefore, when choosing this college, please be sure to consult with your parents in advance!

The bibliography for professional courses submitted is slightly different from other institutions. The books I have reviewed as a core review are Zhang Guoliang's Principles of Communication, Xue Ke's Interpersonal Communication (which was deleted from the bibliography of 2021), and Network Communication Studies that is not within the scope of reference.
Last year, due to the epidemic, I was still at home until May. During this period of professional class review, I only pulled Guo Qingguang's "Introduction to Communication Studies" and the books of teachers Zhang Guoliang and Xue Ke, but I did not leave a deep impression, and even did not have a basic framework in my mind.
It wasn't until the end of June that I officially began my systematic review. I myself am a procrastination depth patient, when I review, I feel that everything is more interesting than reading books, plus the revision progress and depth at that time are very backward compared to many people, and turning in is also a very difficult college in my eyes... After considering my own conditions, I chose the orientation class of love communication. Not to mention whether I understand how it helped me, but at that time, when I saw all the students who loved to spread the ICCI re-examination go ashore, I also ate a reassuring pill, and I had a little confidence in my heart.
The review of Turn In 334 focuses on the flexible use of knowledge. As for "Network Communication", Peng Lan's book is indeed transparent, but if you want to use it to answer exam questions, you must have enough cases and cutting-edge knowledge to expand. The practical concept part has been submitted to a wide range of examinations, and the reference books provided by colleges and universities are more like an "autobiography" written in the door, which is very interesting for students to read, but lacks the conciseness and condensation required for taking the test.
So in this part of the preparation for the exam, I referred to a lot of relevant materials, and the first middle period mainly used the initial test materials of love transmission as a reference for understanding and memory. In the later sprint stage, with the "Journalism Practice Pamphlet" as the main reference material, all the vague content and concepts mentioned in the "Almighty Journalist" and "Introduction to Mass Communication" are sorted out and memorized.
Compared with communication, the memory of practical concepts will be easier, so I suggest that you can put this part of the memory in the middle and late stages. In the early stage, it is best to spend time on the memory and expansion of the core concepts of communication and journalism (I use the software of the curtain to take notes, and it is very convenient to print it whether it is memorized or supplemented).
The practice of turning in is only in the form of comments and reviews, so the pressure to review will be much less. Since the beginning of the summer, I have insisted on writing a review every week, and I will make changes based on the feedback from my sister, and I will also accumulate some relevant cases. Commenting is an subject that the more you write and accumulate, the smoother your writing will be. Everyone must read more, think more, and practice more penmanship!!! Don't be lazy, think that after writing it, don't reflect, don't revise, don't improve, then it's difficult to make progress! If you want to get a high score, you must "fry your own cold rice", repeatedly sculpt, and finally form your own writing ideas and common patterns.
For example, my undergraduate is a political science and law school, and I will have more understanding and accumulation in supervision, norms, and laws, so when I write comments, I often use the model of "summarizing phenomena + pointing out causes + solutions". I have observed that some students are lagging behind in writing in the solution area, and at this time, using their legal study background is my strength! Some TIPS about endorsements. The first pass must have been tough. My approach is to list a tree of keywords no matter what the theory, without having to memorize it word for word. In this way, whenever I see these theories, I have a picture of a word tree in my head, and I can organize my own language. Secondly, if you can finish the professional course in the summer, it will be of great help in the later stage!! It is not unreasonable to say that summer vacation is the golden time for overtaking in corners, and I saw in the learning exchange group that some students only memorized it for the first time in October, and nothing else, the anxiety alone made them very nervous.
The second TIPS is also a cliché, make a plan! Many people know this method but may not be able to use it, and I think that for the preparation trajectory of less than half a year, the plan is a very good way. According to the Ebbinghaus Forgetting Curve, you can make an endorsement plan and plan your daily tasks based on your own learning. Playing a tick when you are done is not only a sense of accomplishment, but also a very rhythmic sense of learning. The third little TIPS is timed learning. I, a star-chasing girl who is extremely easily attracted to the handsome guys and beautiful women in my phone, really have a hard time resisting the temptation of my mobile phone. However, I did not take the method of not bringing a mobile phone. I bought a Timer and set myself the length of time I studied. For example, learning 1H will rest for ten minutes, once Timer starts to time, there is a feeling of punching in, during which you will not touch the phone anyway. I downloaded an IHaur and every time I finished my studies, I would time it for myself. Politics I have some craters to step on. Because I was a science student in high school and didn't have much of a foundation for political studies, I spent a lot of time on understanding. I had nothing to do at home during the epidemic, and I watched all of Xu Tao's core examination cases and videos. It turns out that except for the original part of the horse, the other parts are really useless.
During the summer vacation, I finished brushing all the Xiao 1000, and three brushes in September-November. In fact, I personally think that in addition to the Ma Yuan part, such as Mao Zhongte and other chapters that are closer to current events do not need to be brushed three times, it is a waste of time, and you will find that the questions will not actually involve those contents in the examination room.
Many people will recommend doing the wrong question book, but if you are a person who has done the wrong question book but never turned it over, I do not recommend doing the wrong question book. In the later stages, when the time is tight, you will not turn it at all. Directly mark the wrong questions in the exercise book or memorization manual, and repeatedly turn over the memory.
Finally, the scope of the topic, in the early stage, you will make the Xiao 1000 solid, and in the later November, December, if you have time, you can find the simulation questions on the market to do. Learning English is the only subject that requires long-term accumulation, especially words and cultural backgrounds. However, if you don't have enough time, I recommend watching the first ten chapters is enough. From February to June, I always found time to read foreign publications. These foreign publications look more painful at first, but after reading more, they will have a certain understanding of common phrases and their cultural background, and even if they do not understand the article when they do practical work in the later stage, according to the accumulation of social and cultural knowledge, they can also guess some, at least in terms of mentality, they will have some confidence. Here we recommend that you look for a bibliography of foreign journal collections, or Zhu Wei also has a concentrated reading of foreign journals, everyone is interested in looking for it.
In July, I began to do real problems. During the summer vacation, I did all the real questions from 15 years ago, and the previous year has been brushed twice. English reading does have skills, basically a question corresponds to a paragraph, not too much to mess up the question. It wasn't until November that I finished all the real questions and cooperated with Tang Chi's lesson two brushes and three brushes. In each year, I am not familiar with the words and long sentences, I will pick them out separately to take notes, expand the memory, so that in the later stage, when the second brush and three brushes can consolidate the words and sentence patterns.
During the preparation period, I did not deliberately practice Gestalt fill-in-the-blank and translation. On the one hand, the special practice of filling in the blanks is not cost-effective, on the other hand, I still think that it tests a logical ability and the ability to accumulate words, which are not simple to learn in class and do more questions. My method is to carefully study the gestalt and translation of each set, and make sure that the words that appear every year must be recognized. I don't remember which institution teacher said that more than 80% of the words every year have appeared in previous years. Therefore, it is enough to grasp the real questions of each year.
In December, I began to prepare an essay, Pan Yun's nine-square grid method I actually did not learn too much, but borrowed a lot of example sentences in her textbook to sort out my own template. There is actually no fixed way to learn English, and I have listened to Xiaoyan and Tian Jing's classes because I am afraid of grammar problems, but it is not useful. Looking back, what really helped me was the early reading of foreign journals and the study of real questions in the middle and late periods.

I was in a relaxed state the whole time, which is why I say that I have a surprise landing on the weekend of the week. Usually this way my afternoon and evening learning efficiency will not be so high. Once you feel like you can't sit still, you go to the lake to feed the fish, or go to dinner early and take a walk to listen to songs. I would think that even if I can't go ashore, what I have learned in the past six months is very fulfilling!
Sometimes I will talk with my good friends about the wine night, talk about the feelings of the examination and the confusion about the future, and solve the unhappiness in my heart.
