On the ice and snow, a lone wolf took a fancy to its prey, it lurked on the snowy field, patiently waiting for the prey to exhaust, but can things really go so smoothly?

The lone wolf had been hungry for days, and unlike other wolves, it had only one wolf, wandering alone in the snow, enduring hunger in its belly. But fortunately, it had found its prey, an equally lonely wounded elk. The elk stopped at the edge of the lake and leaned down vigilantly to drink the water.

Even after drinking water, the elk did not dare to relax slightly, it was already injured, and although it escaped from the hands of the previous hunter, its injured body could no longer withstand the next attack.

A lone wolf followed the elk, peering at the elk from a not very close distance. The lone wolf is too hungry to rush forward to attack the elk, and must save physical strength to hit the elk, so the lone wolf is also waiting, and it waits for the elk to be exhausted before attacking.

Although the lone wolf is a patient hunter, in the winter when food is scarce, the ice sheet does not give the lone wolf as much waiting time. Sure enough, it wasn't long before another group of wolves came to the lake as well. There were more than a dozen of them, led by the head wolf, in search of food.

The lone wolf saw this and quickly hid, not daring to meet the wolves. Although wolves will form a wolf pack, in fact, there is a strict hierarchy in the wolf pack, only the head wolf has reproductive rights, and because the wolf is aggressive, they do not always live in groups, usually only in the winter when food is scarce, they form a wolf pack to hunt prey together. The wolf pack is also not too large, usually consisting of a pair of adult wolves and several of their offspring.

Precisely because the wolf pack is made up of a family, it is difficult for lone wolves to join the wolf pack that has already formed, but will be regarded as enemies or provocateurs. Therefore, the lone wolf saw the wolf pack and quickly walked away. But it was reluctant to leave, after all, the prey was still there.

In a time of crisis, will lone wolves hunt the prey that is about to arrive, or will they avoid leaving in order to avoid it safely?
