Modern Express News (Correspondent Aiqing, Reporter Jiang Zhenjun) Recently, near the Chuandong Gate of Caomiao Town, Dafeng District, Yancheng City, some people found that the antlers of an elk were entangled in barbed wire and trapped in the water, and their lives were in danger at any time. The Modern Express reporter learned that after receiving the alarm, the police of the Caomiao Police Station of the Dafeng District Public Security Bureau and the staff of the Elk Reserve worked closely together to successfully rescue the trapped elk.
"In a fish pond about 500 meters south of the East Gate of Sichuan in Caomiao Town, there is an elk that has become entangled in barbed wire and is dying, and the situation is very dangerous." At 1:57 p.m. on July 2, the Caomiao Police Station of the Dafeng District Public Security Bureau received a 110 order. After receiving the alarm, the police quickly rushed to the scene, and when they arrived at the scene, they found that the elk's entire body was soaked in water, only the head was still exposed on the water, and if it was not rescued, it would be life-threatening at any time.
Police officer Xia Shixin found that the water in the fish pond was very deep, and the elk struggled even more when he saw someone approaching. Therefore, the police immediately contacted the staff of the reserve and evacuated the surrounding people to avoid secondary injuries caused by the frightened elk. After the staff arrived at the scene, the police quickly discussed the rescue plan with the staff of the reserve.
"The two of us went into the water and cut the wire mesh with pliers to let the elk come out on its own." Subsequently, the police and the staff of the reserve wore water pants and held fire scissors, overflowed the pond, and after arriving at the location, they cooperated with each other to quickly cut the steel wire fence entangled in the antlers, and the rescue process took less than 5 minutes.
After the elk swam ashore, rested for a while and ran off into the distance. According to the staff of the elk sanctuary, this elk is a male deer, and it should have gone to this area to forage for food, and was accidentally entangled in steel wire. Fortunately, the enthusiastic people found it in time, and through the close cooperation of multiple departments, the elk was successfully rescued.
