Sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by our institute, the Chinese Agricultural Development Experience Seminar in French-speaking African Countries was successfully held online from August 23 to 31. Thirty-six agricultural officials and researchers from Côte d'Ivoire, the Republic of the Congo, Morocco, Senegal and Mali participated in the training.
During the seminar, the trainees listened to 8 special lectures on China's policy to promote agricultural and rural development, the construction and development of China's agricultural technology promotion system, China's agricultural machinery and agricultural product processing, and China's rural industry poverty alleviation experience, participated in 4 special seminars, participated in 2 cloud visits, watched the work of agricultural technology extension stations, the operation of cooperatives, and carried out question-and-answer exchanges with experts and scholars, grassroots workers and responsible persons of business entities. Everyone shared knowledge, discussed views, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly, which gathered consensus and enhanced synergy for promoting China-Africa agricultural cooperation.
In this seminar, Mr. Joseph Diouf from Senegal and Mr. Ouattara Sevanju from Côte d'Ivoire came to the Academy for on-site training in 2014 and 2019 respectively, and the two trainees said that they felt like returning to their alma mater; Many Malian trainees who have participated in the previous online training courses of our institute feel that the training courses are innovative and have new achievements in participating in the training, and express their affirmation of the teaching quality of our institute. Everyone believes that by participating in this seminar, everyone has broadened their horizons, broadened their thinking, and provided new ideas for promoting the development of agriculture and rural areas in their country, and this seminar has become a good platform for everyone to learn, communicate and interact.
