Louvre Museum Bicentennial Collection of Stamps (2)

1993 was a noteworthy year in the history of world postal services. In order to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the famous Louvre Museum, the postal departments of 13 countries jointly issued a series of stamps with the contents of the Louvre Collection of Paintings in accordance with the unified layout design, unified commemorative icons and unified stamp regulations (152 × 190 mm, small sheets 70 × 100 mm), a total of 14 sets, which is an unprecedented innovation!

Released in the Maldives on 7 January 1993, this set consists of three small sheets and two sheets.

One of the small works is also the masterpiece of Jacques-Louis David, the leading French neoclassical painter of the 18th century, although the Gambia chose to be dominated by history paintings, while the Maldives chose portraits as the mainstay. In the upper row, from left, are "Madame Decherikia", "Pierre Shericia", "Madame de Vernina"; In the center row, on the left is David's most famous portrait, Mrs. Rechamil, and on the right, self-portrait; In the lower row, on the left are "Director Bonaparte", and on the right are two parts of the famous historical painting "The Knife and AxeMan Brings Back the Corpse of Brutus's Son".

The second book is the masterpiece of the famous lyrical landscape painter Corot, a major member of the 19th-century French Barbizon school. From the left in the upper row, "Self-Portrait", "The Woman in Blue", and "The Daughter with the Jeweled Headdress" are in order; In the middle row, "Locker Room Girl" on the left and "Hyde" on the right; In the lower row are parts of Three masterpieces of Currow's landscape paintings, from left to "Chartre Cathedral", "Douai Bell Tower" and "Mount Bridge".

The third book is the work of the last important figure in the 18th century European Rococo art era, the famous French painter Fragonard. In the upper row, from left, are Learning, Dennis Diderot, and Marie-Madeleine Gimad; In the middle row, "Inspiration" on the left and "Tivoli Falls" on the right; In the lower row, from the left, are "Music Lessons", "Latches", and "Hide and Seek".

The two miniature sheets are Corot's famous painting "Vera de Este's Garden" and 19th-century European Romantic art era eminent French painter Delacroix's "Baby Tiger and Tigress Play".
