Scientific name: Dimorphotheca ecklonis is an evergreen perennial dwarf shrub in the genus Chamomile.
Also known as Margaret's Cape, African Daisy, VanStatden River Daisy, Sunday River Daisy, White Daisy, Blue-White Daisy and Savannah Star, it is an ornamental plant native to South Africa that generally blooms from April to September.
It is widely used as an ornamental plant in potted plants, summer frames and balcony boxes. There are many hybrids and varieties, including upright, up to 1.5 meters high and half low. The species has been farmed since around 1920 and grows best in sunny, barren, sandy soils.
