Dula decided to hide his death and began to command the country and the army, defeating the Crusaders with Turansha, the son of Ayyub's other wife. Dula gained popularity among the Mamluks who supported her as the Sultan's wife, and in order to consolidate their power, they plotted to assassinate Sultan Turansha and appoint Ebak as commander of the army.

However, Abak had already married Om Ali, and Dura asked him to divorce Om Ali. Subsequently they married, and Ebak became sultan, thus establishing his own dynasty of power.
