Early life
Alyssa Dushku was born in Boston, USA in 1980. His father was a school teacher and his mother was a professor of political science. Dushku was the only girl in the family's four children, and the youngest. Her father was born in Boston and is of Albanian descent; Her mother was from Idaho and had Danish, British and Irish ancestry, as well as distant German ancestry. Her parents divorced before she was born.
Dushku attended Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hills, Massachusetts, and graduated from Watertown High School.

Dushku lived in Los Angeles for more than 15 years, spending a long time in Watertown and Boston before her stepfather died.
In March 2014, she announced at Emerald City Comicon that she would be attending college later that year. In June 2014, the Boston Globe reported that Dushku had left Los Angeles and moved back to Watertown, near Boston. In 2016, Dushku became a student at the University of Suffolk, studying sociology.

Dushku is best known for his role as Faith in the supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1998–2003) and the spin-off play Angel (2000–2003). She also starred in the TV series Deadly Call (2003–2005) and the science fiction film The Doll Agent (2009–2010) and served as a producer.
Dushku has starred in many films, including True Lies (1994), Love In Parting (1995), Pretty Girl Cheerleaders (2000), White Rotten (2001), New Ding Drive (2002), Fatal Bend (2003), Broadway on the Street (2007), Devil's Tales (2014), Jane's Quest for Friends (2015), and Eloise (2016). She has also voiced many video games and animated films.
Personal life
Dushku is a board member of THRIVE-Gulu, a trauma healing and reflection center based in Gulu that works to help war survivors in northern Uganda, including former child soldiers, which her mother and stepfather co-founded. She raised $30,000 for the center's building land and ran other fundraising campaigns, while also helping the center.
As an action model for campus leaders, Dushku was invited by the Millennium Campus Network to serve as a national keynote speaker.
For several years, Dushku has raised money for Camp Hale, and her father and brothers have also participated in the event, which includes a new concept for running a girls' curriculum, which was launched in 2012.
