Located on a high ground, the villa is designed to turn the old agricultural estate into a residential space with the flexibility to accommodate various uses and sharing are the main conditions of the project. In this place, dominated by existing wind wells that were once used to grow wheat, other pre-existing things such as the miller's old house, the threshing area and even a small corral together reinforce the outstanding rural character and its construction elements.

The connection between the perimeter of the old house and the newly built area acts as an axis of distribution for the different spaces of the house. This distribution axis allows the house itself to be used flexibly: a house that works as a unit with five bedrooms, or from another point of view, a house with two bedrooms, supplemented by a separate wing that also has three bedrooms.

Project development is driven by the need to restore old structures and reorient them to new scopes of use and functionality, with the aim of incorporating some of these elements into the new spatial and experiential dynamics, making them belong to a new space. The old wall was transformed into a new boundary that contained and formed part of the intervention. From this new restriction, the articulation of new building masses emerged, and because of their arrangement, an empty void was created, emphasizing the relationship between indoor and outdoor. At the same time, they contribute to a better perception of the space going through different stages and exposure levels.

This process of spatial progressive construction, which distinguishes different degrees of intimacy, is also explored from the perspective of a profile, in which the volume of different heights creates a different confrontation with the surrounding environment, expanding our field of vision to its infinity, or, conversely, framing it in the containive features of a courtyard. The distribution of spatial planning takes into account the differences between public and private areas, linking them to different specific volumes.

The social areas where the kitchen, living room and swimming pool (and associated outdoor recreation area) are located are placed on the ground floor, and their centrality reinforces the intention of creating a core of gathering joy and shared atmosphere, around the shape of the bedroom volume.
