On August 10th, the "Welcome to the 20th National Era of Singing" 2022 Feng Menglong Village Writers' Walk was launched, representing the winners of the "Lu Xun Literature Award" and "Mao Dun Literature Award", the highest honors of Chinese literature, gathered together to carry out 10 activities such as "Rural Poetry Project", World Literature Salon, Suzhou Recitation Association village recitation, etc., focusing on building Feng Menglong Village into a "literary town" and "art town".
On the same day, the creation base of Suzhou Writers Association and the creation base of the Prose Committee of Jiangsu Writers Association entered Feng Menglong Village, and the "Jiangnan Dream Hunting" poetry recitation plan and rural literature plan were officially landed. The stories of people's struggle and entrepreneurship that take place in this land are valuable resources for Chinese literature in the new era, providing writers with rich objects of writing and expression, and also issuing a warm call to writers. This activity can allow writers stationed in villages to feel the temperature, thickness and context of this land, feel the struggle and emotions of the people on this land, write the story of Xiangcheng with heart, affection and hard work, tell the story of Xiangcheng to the whole of China and the world, and create a masterpiece of our time.
Wang Yao, vice chairman of the Jiangsu Writers Association and chairman of the Suzhou Writers Association, said in his speech that Xiangcheng has a special significance in the Suzhou area. In the context of economic development, Xiangcheng can achieve the integration of nature and humanities. The launch of the "Feng Menglong Village Writers' Walk in The Village" will bring new cultural elements to the development of Xiangcheng, and also provide a new platform for writers and artists to go deep into their lives and take root in the people.
In September 2021, the successful landing of the country's first Mo Yan Book House allowed Feng Menglong and Mo Yan to achieve "ancient and modern meeting" in Feng Menglong Village. On the basis of Mo Yan Bookstore, the activity will further make use of the original cultural advantages of Xiangcheng, transform the old cultural context between Xiangcheng and Feng Menglong into a vibrant cultural industry, strengthen the integration of culture and tourism, and drive economic development with culture.
In addition, the event will also use "the most beautiful public cultural spaces" such as Feng Menglong Academy and Mo Yan Bookstore to innovate the supply of rural public culture, carry out high-level and widely influential literary and artistic activities, excavate and revitalize local literary and artistic materials in Xiangcheng, and create characteristic public cultural service projects of land and literature, water town and art through the help of masters and "Xiangcheng customization" and other means.
It is reported that this activity runs through the whole year, under the guidance of the China Writers Association and the Jiangsu Provincial Writers Association, and with the support of literary publications such as Harvest, World Literature, Zhongshan, Shanghai Literature, and Writers, Wu Yiqin, Bi Feiyu, Fan Xiaoqing, Wang Yao, Ding Fan, Jin Yucheng, Cheng Yongxin, Jia Mengwei, Gao Xing, Zong Renfa and other famous writers will be invited to the village to create works.
