Have you ever had your clothes mothed? So what are the clothing-eating bugs?

In fact, the scientific name of this moth is clothed fish, which belongs to the insect class Wingless suborder Tamarind. It is generally 2 mm to 3 mm long, with silver-gray, white or brown scales on the surface, and the scales are easily shed. Clothing fish often live in clothing containing natural fibers such as cotton, hemp, hair, silk, etc., and are addicted to biting the natural fibers in the clothes, and in them, they draw silk to weave nests, spawn and multiply, and are fixed on the clothes, and it is not easy to wash off the washing and dry cleaning.
There are many kinds of control methods for clothed fish, mainly including biological measures, chemical measures, physical measures and so on.
1. Biological measures. Any conscious use of natural pests that already exist in nature for suppression can be regarded as biological measures, which are trouble-free, long-term and pollution-free. But breeding or introducing predators that can suppress fish, such as ants, can also bring new problems.
2. Chemical measures. This measure is mainly to use chemical synthetic insecticides to kill the fish, but the safety risk is greater. Another measure that can be considered is to trap the yiyu with poisonous bait, which is not technically demanding and economically costly, and can be used as an auxiliary preventive measure for perennial use.
3. Physical measures. Freezing insecticide is a viable physical measure, but some of the simple manual methods of this measure are often considered too primitive and inefficient to be the main means of control.
Another common way is to put some mothballs in your closet. Today's mothballs are broadly divided into two types: natural mothballs and synthetic mothballs. However, many mothballs contain dichlorobenzene, naphthalene and other substances, which may cause certain harm to the human body.
In addition, the fine spices of Chinese herbal medicines are both safe and have the effect of preventing clothing insects and moths, and are suitable for all cotton wool fabrics and chemical fiber fabrics. It is a perennial herb that emits a fragrant odor due to its volatile oils, a strong anesthetic effect on insects, and can also inhibit mold growth. As long as the finely spiced rhizomes are wrapped in gauze or handkerchiefs and placed in the clothes box or wardrobe, they can play a role in repelling insects.
